Due Date and Don't Shop Before Date

OK, I'm totally new at this and it may seem like a dumb question. I have my first shop that is DUE 11/06 and instructions indicate DON'T PERFORM SHOP BEFORE 11/05. Can I shop ON 11/05? I don't want to screw up my first shop by showing up a day early and perusing this forum, it seems like asking the scheduler a question like that can get you a lower grade.

Asking a scheduler a question should never result in a lower grade or any "ding" to you record. Most would prefer you clarify everything up front. A lot of schedulers have also been shoppers so they get being new.

From the wording it appears your shop window is 11/5 - 11/6. Some companies try to lock you in to a single date while others give you a range.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I can only speak about GfK's system. We have a shopper commit to a specific date to complete a shop. For example, if you pick 11/6 for your assignment, you should do the shop on 11/6 and the report is due 12 hours after you complete the shop.

Arguing with fools is like playing chess with a pigeon...
...No matter how good you are, the pigeon will s@^t on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Not scheduling for ANY company.
From what I've seen with GFK, the "don't shop before" and due date will also be the same one.

gfk frequently has that issue. Also as of late schedulers who
dont return emails in a timely manner so I've cutback the
shops I do for them since prompt correspondence is
a requirement i have no matter how big a bonus
they offer.

Thanks for the clarification. From now on, I will ask the scheduler any questions I may have without worrying about my grade. You guys are so helpful!
