Whats That?

I've gotten my first shop! Whoopee!!! It's a grocery store thing which I know my way around grocery stores and I have the round belly to prove it. But there is something I'm a little confused about.
Can anyone tell me just what is a "Fruit Cut" stand? I emailed my scheduler and she said she could not get a straight answer from them. (What!!) I even called a friend that works in a store and he said he had never heard of such a thing. Now I think it's the little free stand that usualy has a dome on it with a few pieces of some type of food under the dome. Any of you ever heard of a "Fruit Cut" stand?

Congratulations on your first shop!

As for your fruit stand question, you did the right thing by first asking your the scheduler. Personally, I have no idea what it is as I have apparently not done that particular store. You can search the forum for the name of the grocery store and perhaps get an answer. Or you can supply the name of the grocery store to help us help you.

When the scheduler can't deliver an adequate answer to you, I wouldn't worry about having the shop rejected for that issue.

Good luck with it and let us know what happened. smiling smiley

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Save the email from the scheduler for a CYA if necessary.

If there is more than one of those grocery stores in your area? If they are not far from each other, I would go to the "other" store and inquire what that is. It is more of a SD question or the Produce dept. All Traders Joes have the same store lingo for the department or sampling tables, while all Shoprites might have a different lingo for the same products. It is worth a try. No harm no foul. smiling smiley
I consider the fruit cut stand anywhere that they could cut fruit for you. Either a small stand alone stand or a large area where staff are behind the counter working on fruit. In the supermarket I do it's a large area that takes up a wall and the produce staff work behind it. If I needed fruit cut, they could do it. Haven't had a shop rejected because of it yet but most stores don't have anywhere that they can cut fruit.
If your store does not have one, you are in luck. It is one less section of the form you have to fill out. I simply put "This location does not have a fruit stand" in the comment box. smiling smiley
The grocer here has a "fruit stand" in the back of the produce department, hahaha. So, NO fruit stand here! tongue sticking out smiley
OK heres an update.
I have done 3 shops now and not one of them have had a "Fruit Cut" stand.
So jnshockley your right about one less section to fill out.
I did have one shop that had a whole section for processing fruits. It was set up just like a bakery section cept it had all kinds of fruit to pick from. It was the first time I have ever seen a section set up like that just for fruit.
I have been filling out my survey as "No Fruit Cut stand in store." and have not gotten an Oops for it (yet).

That is common. I have one the same way I do every month. I report no fruit cutting stand or employee...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
