Generally, you note how many rings it took to be answered, the exact greeting and if they mention the store name or location. You then ask a benign question, such as directions, hours of operation, etc. Note the response and if they were helpful. If they did not state their name, ask for it at the end of the call. Note the time you called and when you hung up.
