Tablet Question

I am needing to purchase a Tablet for use in the all day audits that GfK company offers. What is the least size that will still do the job well? (8" or 10" ?) And, will any operating system work or should it be a specific one?

I'm interested in the same question. I've been looking at the iPad mini for those shops. I think that is one of the pricier ones.
I haven't done those all day GfK audits but I use a Samsung Tab.. I have no issues with the GfK site or SASSIE platform on it. Battery life is amazing (2-3 days amazing). Mine is a 10.3" but I'm sure any size will do. Size is mostly personal preference I think.

I love my iPad. Only problem, I'm unable to use it to upload into Market Force. I have to send pics to my PC. :-/ I'm also in need of suggestions for a small laptop that has adobe access so I can do my shops when I'm 3 hours away, without having to drive back home, another 3 hours to finalize it.
Quick follow up. I went for it and bough the iPad Mini 2 today with a Zagg keyboard case. My first two shop reports went super fast!! I had been using a combo of iPhone and Windows laptop...love this new shopping tool!! I'm hoping it works well for the GfK audits, too.

Just use the Teamviewer APP on your iPad and send the photo's to your PC first and then upload them from the PC from the remote access to the desktop from Teamviewer.

TravelGuru, if you haven't already found a laptop that will work for you, might I suggest this Acer Aspire Switch 10? It's extremely small and light. Not exactly a laptop--it's basically a tablet with a detachable keyboard--but it runs Windows 8.1 and handles basic tasks like web browsing and shop-related tasks extremely well. I love the touchscreen but you can attach a mouse through the USB port, too. I haven't had any issues with MF's site with it so far. I use Dropbox to get image files from my iPod to the 2-in-1, and to get files from the 2-in-1 to my main computer at home.

I had been using my MotoX (2014) Android Lollipop phone...many audits went through fine, but a few got lost in the ether... the specs on the phone out perform most tablets, so I figure their IT guys can't play nice with Lollipop (Android 5.0 and up)??
I caved, first got a Samsung Galaxy Tab4 7.0. It was a horror. The photos were terrible, and as the day went on, the tablet response time lagged longer and longer. And TouchWiz. Ugh. So I returned it, got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4"
Much better. Better camera lens/sensor software rendering (also, storing it to an ultra fast microSD card helps).

But it still peeves me that the app and many smartphones don't play nice together...and that they have not written an app for Windows 8.1 tablets....
