Mistakes of a Beginning Shopper

I attempted to create a route for Friday, and I messed it up. In my route creating frenzy, I scheduled one shop that is 30 miles in the opposite direction of the "beginning" of the route. When I scheduled it, I just thought it was in a different city. I am hoping I can reschedule, but if not, I guess it will be a long day.

Sunshine, not to worry, we all make mistakes. Here's a tip that may help you. If you do stations (convenience stores) be careful about day time and night time shopping windows. I've messed that up by slipping a night shop in the middle of a day route and vice versa. We've all been around the block. As you get more experience, you'll discover even more ways to screw up.

Not true, I'm fairly certain I have discovered all of the ways to screw up already. At least I hope I have. :/

I vote that "route creating frenzy" becomes a new term that is universally understood in the mystery shopper vernacular.

Thanks Sunshine!

Mistakes of an old shopper:

A few weeks ago I want into a bank branch, sat with a platform rep. Got all the information about opening an account, looked up and realized I was in the wrong bank. The bank I should have been in was about 1 block down. I have shopped over 2000 branches. Just a waste of valuable time. I use a GPS also.
Ha ha. Think of it as a dress rehearsal for the real shop. smiling smiley

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I started mystery shopping years ago when I had just moved to a new city I wasn't familiar with, so I didn't know where anything was, and online maps and GPS weren't anything like what they are today. I spend hours driving around a strange city to do a few $10-15 shops.

I decided mystery shopping was a waste of time and gave up after a few months. I didn't come back to it for a long time, and by then I had figured out at least a couple of the stupid things I had been doing. I'm sure there are other idiotic mistakes I have yet to make.

Every time I read your signature lines I get so tickled, Lisa. Too funny...
