Welcome to the Forum!

Read, read read is the best advice. Start in the sticky threads in the new members section. There's a lot of great information to be had.

The sticky threads are at the top of the New Member section. After you have read a thread, the thread will say "Sticky" to indicate it is permanently placed there so you can easily find it again. other threads will float up and down the page as people either respond to them or ignore them but the sticky posts will always be at the top so you can find them.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
The forum has so much information that it can get a little overwhelming for me at times so now I will research a certain MSC on the forum before I sign up or do a shop for them. That way I can decide if that is a company that I want to work for and if their clients have shops that I am interested in. I started with the companies that have the most discussions since they are the larger MSC's and worked down the list. I am now on the smaller list and have found one MSC that I love however a lot of the smaller companies may not have work in my area. That is the hit and miss part. I have great days and totally frustrating days as many posters on this forum have experienced but I do like the work. Good luck on your travels and stay safe out there!
Welcome....both to this forum and to mystery shopping! My tips would be as follows -

1. Ask questions...lots of questions
2. Use this forum to seek the advice of the elders in our community
3. Remain organized, tracking your assignments, your schedule, and your payments
4. Read assignment details carefully
5. Try to bundle assignments together ('route shopping') for the most bang for your buck
6. Check the job boards (here and at the mystery shopping company websites) often, as new assignments are posted all the time.

I'm getting prompts to introduce myself as a new member but I do not see how to navigate to a place where I can do that.

Suzybell32, you might also consider presto (https://insta.prestomobilesurveys.com/site/Map). It uses the same data as jobslinger and presents it in map format.
