I asked to use the bathroom, but it wasn't on my list of things to do

I completed a shop at a sporting goods store. I asked to use the bathroom, but it wasn't on my list of things to accomplish. The toilet was grubby, and the toilet paper dispenser was empty. There was a box of toilet paper on a high shelf. I included it in my report.

After the fact, I thought that perhaps I had given myself away by asking to use the restroom.

Do you think they will pay or not?

Sometimes when I'm shopping I have to pee. I think you'll be alright.

Asking to use the bathroom would not give you away. I remember going into all sorts of "crappy" bathrooms hidden behind shelves and down a long aisle at retail stores when my kids were small and often needed to go. I saw other adults on my way in or out often without kids in tow. Unless there is a general section of the report for you to comment on how you felt though I would not have included this in the report. as it was not part of what was required. You could send a heads up note to the scheduler about the situation and the scheduler would then decide if that information should be passed along. In general it is a good idea to stick to what they want when the report is objective.
