IC Pro - What does it mean

I'm not a new mystery shopper but just recently noticed this.

What does it mean to be an IC Pro shopper? It doesn't cost anything.

Does anyone think it really raises your chances of getting certain shops?

It is a hollow assurance to the MSC that you are a true declared independent contractor. In reality, it has meant nothing to me as far as getting jobs. Just like some other certification for watching an old worn out DVD and answering some questions an elementary grade student could answer., this has been debated and I have found that any responsible MSC will grade your application, and then grade your work and release more complex jobs based on your prior work. Getting the certificate could only be helpful if you have no experience at all. It then shows your seriously trying.

Seconded. It does seem to make more of a difference when you're new with a company, but after that it's all about your track record with them.
