New guy, what's a simple shop?

I'm new and been reading for quite a few days. I've always thought about trying it but since I'm so rural I didn't think that there would be much demand for one in my area. But according to jobslinger.com Ive been wrong.
On average about 10 have been posted daily.

Now I've never been a real self confident person so I'm nt sure if I would pick one that would entail more than I can handle. Anyone have a suggestion on some that are fairly easy to be assigned and completed by a first timer.

Also I've been shopped myself at the c-store I work at. And I've read the report. Being the MS I'm assuming I would just be filling out that report more or less. (According to what that particular company is asking for)

I think it is better to steer to you to a few MSPs like Market Force that offer shorter, less involved shops. From their job board you can find one that is to your liking. I say this because convenience stores usually are quick and simple, unless they have lots of photos to take and you are not good with a camera. Bank shops are often recommended as fairly easy for beginners, but the platform ones (those involving a sit-down with a banker) do require a conversation of at least a few minutes and the ability to remember details of that conversation.

Check out some articles in the mystery shopper magazine part of the forum. You can link to it at the bottom of every forum page.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
I like the suggestion of MarketForce- they were the first company I shopped for and they offer assignments that require minimal narrative. Another that might be good to check is Trendsource. They have a mobile app that lets you complete assignments on-site.

In my experience, something described as a "simple shop" is a lemon without a bonus that the scheduler is trying to dupe someone into taking.

I am not sure if you realize it or not but you can not be a shopper at the chain of C--stores that you work for. And you can not shop people that you know well like friends and family members.
If there's a Wetzel's Pretzels in your area and you can find the company (or two) that does them, they're absolutely idiot-proof.
Get your feet wet with Marketforce or BestMark. They are simple shops and give you an idea of how to perform a mystery shop without too much money put out.
