Video Mystery shopping kit for sale

I am moving on and have a Lawmate PV500 Evo2 kit plus BU18 button cam to sell. It's less than a year old, in excellent condition and still in the original boxes with some parts still wrapped. madprods@hotmail.com for details.

I wanted to add to this thread. The OP remained on the forum for over a half an hour after my question was posed. While they would not answer publicly, they were willing to respond to a direct email from another member. The OP is in the UK and the price for the used rig is $696.

A brand new rig can be purchased through Greyhawk for $699.99. Measure Consumer Perspectives has used equipment from as low as $250 and new rigs starting at $555. The new equipment includes a one year manufacturer's warranty.

The prices listed on the GREYHAWK Website are controlled by the manufacturer. Every dealer has a minimum price they advertise for. It is well known, that we offer deep discounts to the price listed. If you are a member of IMSC for instance, you get a huge discount. You are not comparing apples to apples in this post. The GREYHAWK kit that "lists" for $699.00 has a brand new PV 500 EVO 2U(the latest version) a BU-18 button camera, a metal Vaultz gear case with custom foam inserts to fit your gear, and a car charger. You don't have to have the case and car charger. If you want just the PV-500 EVO and the BU-18 as listed here, that is cheaper. I love Measure CP. I have completed a number of shops for them. I know they sell used equipment. I am not aware of them being a licensed Lawmate dealer. My understanding on the Lawmate warranty is that it goes to the original purchaser. I am a Licensed dealer, so it passes through Greyhawk to the consumer. If your not a dealer, then the warranty should go to the purchaser and not extend through to the second owner. If I read the legalese correctly. With Greyhawk, I handle the warranty for you. I take the lag time for the response from Lawmate Int. to the consumer and get the shopper back up and running VERY quickly. Shoppers should get the best gear they can for the cheapest price possible. I just wanted to make sure that we are doing a fair comparison. And yes, even if you buy from someone else, I still help everybody if you have problems. I can't help you with your warranty however. DAN Thomas---GREYHAWK VIDEO SOLUTIONS.
Dan my goal was not to spend time researching all the available options or to compare you and Measure. The idea was to be sure everyone knew of other options before buying a used unit from an unknown seller for as much or more than a new rig.

No worries. I didn't intend any tone or negativity. I completely agree with you. You can buy new gear cheaper than a lot of the used gear out there. Buy from someone you trust. I should have just agreed with you and pointed out that the $699.00 retail kit had every bell and whistle and there are a lot cheaper packages. Happy Shopping!!!!!

Lisa do you have a recommended list of video equipment that's suitable for the beginner? I have the cash but don't know what the experts here recommend the person with less than fifty video shops should buy. I've used loaner equipment, did a good job but would like to know if there's more money owning my own recording tools?

What price point is where someone wanting to get in should focus their money?
My advice is to get in touch with Dan at Greyhawk Video. He is a shopper and knows exactly what is needed. Also, if you are an IMSC member, you get a discount.

What she saidwinking smiley My cameras are a little older so Dan would be up to date on newer models and have a handle on how they are working in the field.

It is hard to say when it becomes worthwhile for another shopper to buy versus using loaned equipment. On the one hand with Ellis you will only be getting an additional $10 per shop, on the other there are shops you would not get at all because the companies don't loan equipment. My local market isn't bad for video yet it would take a long time to pay off a camera just shopping within 30 or even 100 miles. When I was able to travel more, a new rig could be paid off in just a few days on the road.

It is now a lot cheaper to get in than it was. Prices almost never head down. But after much begging, pleading, and a little water boarding, Lawmate finally put the camera we need in the box with the DVR we need. Before you had to buy the PV 500 L3 that came with a low resolution camera. You had to toss that camera and buy a Hi Resolution BU-18 camera. It's a great time to get in. AND....I am announcing tomorrow a new lease plan I am rolling out. I have a test subject I am sponsoring right now to help me work the kinks out of the program. It will allow you to receive new or almost brand new certified equipment. I have an option that will allow you to lease to own. It is basically a 90 day interest free installment plan. It does allow you to try it and if you hate it, you are not out a huge amount of money. We are working very hard to get shoppers in that have a barrier due to the price. If the gear is not purchased, after 3 rentals it will roll into a certified used option that will again, cut the price point down to affordable. I am in love with video shopping. I want everyone else to love it too. Not everyone will. But for those folks that want to and price is holding you back, I want to help. I had to do 7 weeks of Senior Living written shops( huge report) to save up enough to get my gear. I would like to make it easier for those coming up.
Video is awesome. I am answering you on the boards while my shop is uploading. No reports.

One day I will be able to comment without writing a short story.....I guess not today.... grinning smiley

Call Dan at Greyhawk. He is a man of his word and backs every sale he makes. I've purchased from him and done business with as well as others and believe me, you'll never regret working with Dan Thomas.
Dan is the man to talk to for all your video shopping needs. He had me up and running in the amount of time it took to get me the equipment. The warranty issue was resved quickly for me because Dan took care of me relative to the equipment purchased. I've learned about the man first hand and won't do business with anyone else.
I know this was unsolicited Dan but they may as well know the best in the market. If the dollars are their only concern, they'll learn that cheaper can also mean more expensive in due time. Greyhawk is a business you can trust.
Dan at Greyhawk is, indeed, working hard to get a better deal for shoppers and gets my vote for the most helpful supplier. He walks the walk as an active video shopper, as well as a retailer of equipment.
