No business card or proof of shop

I knew that I should have just stayed home today because I'm naturally inclined towards bad luck, but I saw an easy shop posted that was two blocks from my house so I figured, what could go wrong? Well, when I asked the employee for his business card, he told me he didn't have one and he didn't have any kind of brochures or printouts for me to look over, either. This is my very first shop for MarketForce and now they have no way of knowing that I even completed it, other than my word. I don't know that I'm really seeking advice here. It's just a crappy thing to happen when you're trying to establish a good track record with a new company.

That is happening more and more. Some businesses seem to be moving away from business cards. If there is no place to explain it in the report, send a message to the scheduler or Help Desk. A good back up plan is to take a photo of the exterior if no POV is available. If you don't have one write something like "no business card or brochures available" on a piece of paper, take a pic and upload it into the slot provided for POV.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Good advice above. If you take an exterior photo, put the time/date stamp on your camera. I don't think MF uses GeoVerify but it might be a good backup for some other MSCs/shops.
Yes, and if you take a photo with a Smartphone with location services turned on (make sure that they are turned on with the camera setting as well), than it should show the address where the photo was taken when uploaded.

Sometimes when there is a new employee or associate, they don't have business cards, and as indicated above, some locations are trying to be more "green" and not printing cards and brochures.

Email Helpdesk and explain your situation.
The companies probably realize that all the cards are going to mystery shoppers.

I Geo Verify every shop, even if not required. Also, taking a picture of the building with the address showing will work.

When I brought this up to a scheduler, he told me to include a note of what happened in the space for the card.

I have a photo of a little sign that explains why I could not get a business card. It lives on my desktop because I need it so often!

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Good idea!

This happened to me during a smartphone shop with no business cards. Before leaving, I told the sales lady I would have my husband call and could she explain to him what she said to me. She said yes and I asked that she write her name and business number on something. She wrote it on a plain piece of paper. When I left, I geoverified the shop and emailed the scheduler. The scheduler emailed back saying to use the piece of paper in place of the business card. I also put the geoverify number in the comments.

I have completed many shops for that company so the piece of paper was not an issue.
What about taking a selfie with store photobombing it?
