How do you find good shops without checking every job board??

Hello! I am new to this forum. I've recently gotten more serious about mystery shopping. In the past I've done about 5 shops total. I've been applying to so many MSP this week but I have yet to discover shops that fit my household. I am speaking of restaurant shops. Now I am not asking for a list but how do I even go in the direction of MSP that provide fast food shops and the like.
Another question I have for you veterans is how you filter jobs that you like? There's no way in checking over 100 MSP every day to find shops so what do you do? Not all e-mail you so how do you desipher the good ones from the bad?
Please help this newbie!

It is an art rather than a science. Yes, you need to register with companies and it is necessary to check their job board through one cycle at least so see if they currently have clients in your area. You may want to divide up your list and check 25 today, another 25 tomorrow etc. Make some notes about what shops you see with each company because at this time you can't expect yourself to remember who does what. Try shops and see how you like working with various companies. Soon you will find that some of your companies offer nothing or nothing worthwhile in your area. As you get a handle on your companies, continue expanding your registrations. Eventually you will probably settle on about 20 companies that offer you jobs you want. Build your reputation with these as you perform jobs for them. Over time with most companies you will not only come to know when they post but also be selected for more of the jobs for which you apply.
I find that every MSP has its own personality. Once I find a few with shops that work well for me, I tend to check those MSP's daily. Otherwise, I briefly scan emails I receive.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
rebahr,
If you are looking for fast food shops where you can take members of your family, you may be in for a surprise! Almost all of them must be done SOLO. Also although many sit down restaurant shops require at least two people, almost none permit children. OTOH, you may discover other sorts of shops, that you never imagined existed, where you can help your family as well as, or better than, taking them out for fast food. Happy hunting!

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Your new, have patience, it does take time. When you find a shop you like, do the report correctly, following their instructions and read the samples for an idea of what they want....some companies want you to mention names throughout, some do not, know what they want. You will then get emails for these jobs, and
self-assign is popular for good shoppers, which is a pleasure. I like the food shops, restaurants, groceries,
and such. My favorite restaurant MSC emails new ones for the month, I go assign and keep a good relationship going. Being new, you also have to go on their board and they will assign, some companies take longer than other.....patience is the name of the game.

Live consciously....

Exactly! It's kind of a bummer sometimes sitting in a place for 15-30 minutes alone... I had one that I had to go to a buffet alone and request a booth -_- It was weird. I did homework at the table... and I did "homework" at the table. I did leave the waitress a good tip, as the company tipped more than 50% of what I was ordering. It said to spend the remainder of my reimbursement on tipping... that being said though the reimbursement was $15, and my meal was just $8 and some change. I still stood out, I'm sure, but then again those folks probably get weird requests all the time.

Some sit down places require adults go with you and some even require 21 year old or older adults to go with you. I did a shop that required my guest be 21, even though all he had to do was snap a picture of the restroom of the opposite gender for me. Nothing we did would have even required us to be 21... ?

most of the time companies will mass email you if they have shops they need for the larger national chains with lower paying jobs

the smaller higher paying companies you have to go to their website or develop a relationship with a scheduler which takes time and effort

the truth of the matter is that legit companies reward hard work... and the more work the higher the reward... so at the start you are going to have to check a large number of job boards many times to establish a relationship if its something serious you are going to do for a serious chunk of your income then you are going to need to put serious effort into it... no substitutions
