My job of 23 years ends this Friday. Don't feel bad for me though, I am keeping a positive attitude and looking for other avenues of work. Mystery shopping sounds like fun and something to fill in the gaps. I am in Jacksonville FL. Any suggestions are welcome.

Welcome to shopping. Let me suggest that you get into Unemployment as soon as possible and file. I don't know if it is a county by county decision, but with my significant other, he loses benefits dollar for dollar for free lance work he performs. My son, on the other hand, lives elsewhere can earn 150% of the weekly benefit before he loses benefits.

Thanks for the quick response. I was a 1099 employee with no benefits for the last 8 years. My husband was transferred and I had to resign. They hired me back as an independent contract and renewed annually until this year. Not sure if I can get unemployment but it can't hurt to try.

Nope, you probably won't get unemployment, so shopping may work well for you.
