Hello from Georgia

Hello, I just started doing Mystery Shops again after a ten-year hiatus. I am a student and could use the extra funds. It seems different here, in Georgia. I was in Dallas, TX before and it seemed like I could get by with lots of shops with only a handful of companies. Now I'm near Atlanta and it's like crickets around here. Maybe I am using the wrong companies. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Welcome to the Board. Sorry can't help you about shops in Georgia. I live and shop in Toronto.
Expand your list of companies. Plenty of shops near Hotlanta!

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I know Amusement Advantage has plenty of shops if you like to go to those places. I wish I lived closer to Atlanta. Not as many fun parks to go here in Birmingham.

I am obviously behind the times because I didn't know there are video shops. I have been writing.

I could sign up with them. Have a referral number?
I would love to have the referral credit. Referrals are sent on the website with an email address, though.
Otherwise, you can sign up at amusementadvantage.com

I am also in the Atlanta area. There are many video apartment shops, amusement parks, hotels, audits, restaurants, housings and banks jobs here. Sign up with lots of companies.

For shops in your area, jobslinger (the free version) or Prestomobile.com is the single best source for shops.

Note: They use the same data for the most part.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Hi, Shavalere, welcome to the forum. There's a lot of competition in the Atlanta area, but you should find some great jobs by signing up with companies on our official list of mystery shopping companies:

Hi, Ashke! Welcome to the forums!

When you introduce yourself to your schedulers, you might mention your situation and that you would be very interested in picking up phone shops and/or Internet shops based in other areas. These typically don't pay as much, but if you can schedule a few per week or month, then it might add up. I believe that Georgia is a one-party consent state in regard to recording, so you should be eligible for most phone shops if you're based there, but if you call out-of-state, make sure that it is not two-party consent. This may affect your eligibility for a small percentage of recorded shops.
