Yes you can. And I wish you the best. Like others have said, look at the section that states "New Mystery Shoppers" first and read. Then go to the "official list of mystery shopping companies" and start signing up with companies. I can tell you that Marketforce is one of the companies that has the easiest reports to do. Good luck!
@Mystic2010, how did you find out about mystery shopping? Do you know someone who is a mystery shopper? Did you receive an unsolicited e-mail?
Okay, so you have done the first step, Mystic. Being a mystery shopper is not easy. It means running your own small business working as an independent contractor for multiple mystery shopping companies. You are in charge of your business and you will do all the planning, all the setup, all the bookkeeping, all the work, AND you will keep all the money. There are companies you can register with - you can find them on Google - who will do the work for you but you must pay them before they help you. Here, all the information is free, but YOU must do the research, read everything, and do the work yourself.

You register with a company, providing your personal information and SS#. Sometimes there are test and required writing samples. After you are accepted by the company as one of their shoppers, you can check their job board and apply for assignments. Sign up with plenty of companies to give yourself a good volume of potential shops. Keep in mind that there are a lot of mystery shoppers so there may be a lot of competition for shops in your area. More experienced shoppers in your area may get most of the shops, so don't be discouraged. It takes a while to build your shopping business. There's a great list of companies to apply with here:

The forum members here are glad to answer specific questions and we try to help each other, but we are trying to make a living. We are not paid for participating on the forum. All participation here is free, so this is something you must research and do on your own. There is no one to walk you through it or mentor you, unless you choose to pay a consulting company. And, actually, anyone who is not a motivated self-starter will probably not be successful at mystery shopping.

Keep in mind that being able to read and understand guidelines, and being able to retain the information you have read, is absolutely essential to being a successful mystery shopper. After getting assignments, if the assignment is not performed according to the guidelines, the mystery shopper does NOT GET PAID. Attention to detail is very important.

The links are not showing/not working on my end. Are they for anyone else?
You're right. When I click on them, nothing happens. Maybe I did something wrong. I will try again and then test after I post.

OK, I tried again and now the links work. Not sure what I did different but all's well that ends well, right?

Hi Britney and welcome to the forum! We ask that those associated with Companies and Scheduling services identify themselves in a siggy line. If you click on your name and go to your profile you can readily do this and it will then appear with all of your posts.
Thanks for the walk through! I have it set up now (I believe) the way requested. Let me know if I need to do anything else! I'm excited to be here.
