Welcome to the forum! One of the interesting aspects of mystery shopping is that you can and do in everyday life you can also do as a mystery shopper and get paid form. So if you can drive, put gas in your car and go inside the convenience store of the station you can do gas station shops. If you can go into a bank and talk with the banker you can do bank shops. The list goes on and on so it is just what you can do.
Hi and welcome. Some MSC (mystery shopping companies) does phone call shops too. I would suggest to start off slow first before scheduling yourself to do a lot of mystery shopping shops. Make sure you are not paying any up front fees to join any mystery shopping companies. They are free to sign up with. Be leery any of promises that you can make a large amount of income by doing mystery shopping. Something like promises of making $100,000 a year by doing mystery shopping. There are many legitimate mystery shopping companies that are listed on the bottom of this page. Check back with the mysteryshopforum for some feedback from other shoppers regarding tips or suggestions about certain shops.
Sign up with 1 or 2 of the larger MSC's , like Marketforce or Bestmark to get an idea of what the shops are like. This was how I got my feet wet in the beginning. It gave me a basic idea of what the reports would be like and got my computer skills up to speed. Then I started to expand by signing up with more companies and taking on more challenging shops. Develop an organizational plan that works for you while shopping. Keeping your receipts and notes in one area will save a lot of grief at the end of the day. You may receive a large check in the mail from one of the scammers. Do not put the check in your bank account - it will bounce and you will be left with bounced check charges. Oh and read the forum often for tips and suggestions. Best of luck on your new endeavor.
