What stores do you love to merchandise in?

We have our hates, so how about our love to work in stores? Steins Garden Centers ( regional garden centers) I know where my stuff is, they are so helpful, it is great. Target, most of them have their act together so it is a quick, somewhat painless experience. Shopko- the staff really does try to be helpful, there does seem to be organization in the back rooms. Menards- Great helpful staff, logical locations of back stock.

I've got to give Staples and Best Buy their dues. I've had to install displays in both stores, and 9 out of 10 times they're on their a game. No mistakes, no "we lost it." It's usually either on the floor or they know where it is in the back even during the holidays.
CVS? Really? !? The three I used to service never received a shipper that they didn't toss, always wanted to do their own thing with POG's. They couldn't be bothered to be current with their POG's, so, any cut ins were a complete cluster.
Must be a regional thing.
Staples drives me crazy. Give me Office Depot any day.

Drugstores are always understaffed. They can never get on top of things, only put out fires all day long.

Former mystery shopper, current merchandiser.
Like any store, if the management is good, the store is usually operationally sound. I service a lot of CVS stores and most are run well. Target and Walmart are hit and miss depending on management. I have also found that if you build relationships in your regular stores life is generally easier. I have witnessed some merchandisers try to bully stores, and that usually back fires. I try to make their life easier and have minimal issues in stores.
Our Target stores in my area are great. Most of the time the job is done when I arrive and I only have to straighten the display and take a photo.
I have love hate relationships with the same store - different doors. 3 Kohls have amazing staff who realize I am partner who makes their job easier. One fights me at every step. They are disorganized and their shelves are a mess. I rarely complete tasks at allotted times and have to submit a Store Alert for not completing all work on time. I have the same problem with a Walmart. One has an incredible and helpful staff who has everything out or had, and it was already sold because it looked so tidy. The other has a crabby, tired staff who could care less what I need. Luckily I only visit this store 2-3 times per year.

But on topic - my favorite store to work in is Sears. I am welcomed and thanked from top management on down.

Petco is another favorite. The kindness and courtesy given to me there is unlike any store I work in. It must come from the love of animals because the management in all my stores really seem to respect and trust their staff.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
We have one Target in my area that is great! I have three CVS stores, two are fantastic, one is just meh, but it just opened.
