Snap Audits

I asked about direct deposit and was told that was not for contractors only employees. The reason is because when people sue you that is how your company gets a ruling against it and you are not considered an independent contractor. I know a lot of companies pay independent contractors this way. But supposedly this signifies you are an employee.

Thanks for the fair warning. I was thinking these may be more than what they seemed. so I will not take one and leave it to someone who has the experience in this field.
I got paid too. Just a little late due to the holiday. I just have to be extra careful choosing my assignments. Picking ones that I consider enjoyable and not taking more than 30 minutes to complete. The paper work, answering the same questions online and scanning the invoice are quite time consuming. I sure wish they could come up with an app or something to finish up the project while out in the field.
The people that are receiving their checks...they for the entire amount owed or are you being strung along?

Do you use dropbox or hook your camera (phone) up to upload your photos? I just take a picture of the invoice in the car when I'm done. I use dropbox. Upload them all and it seems quicker than messing with scanning the invoice.

Entire amount. They have never shorted me on a check.
I think I will try it once Tammy to see how it goes. If its legit, I might have a territory all to myself since, many are hesitant to try...
As I recall "Tammy" did not say that Wyoming was one of the states that the Attorney General has not shut them down in and you very likely will find no competition for $10.50 per assignment jobs that take four to five hours to complete. If you do get paid you will be on track to make a solid two dollars an hour making your losses after fuel minimal... probably only loose $5 or so per job.
goldrunner. Those suits were for salaried employees working over the maximum time allowed for salaried employees. They didn't have anything to do with independent contractors, right!?
The lawsuit I read about in GA I believe was IC's. I don't know if it is still on going or not.
Here is the current status of that lawsuit in GA. Was this a field Associate? Hmmm. So, if I do more than 40 hours a week as an Independent Contactor, for Mystery Shopping or Merchanding, I can then claim a lawsuit and file for overtime wages pay for hours 41 through.....however many? That's pretty cheesy and bad for everyone who enjoys their IC status, imho!

Mandatory Arbitration Agreement

N.D. Ga. (6/7/16)—Federal district court compels arbitration of employee's overtime claim that he was misclassified as independent contractor and not paid for hours worked over 40 in week. Federal district court finds that employee consented to have arbitrator decide arbitrability issues because employment documents incorporate rules of American Arbitration Association and court rejects employee's contention that fact that employment agreement can be “terminated by either side at any time”—because employee could either quit or be fired—renders contract illusory (Rodriguez v. Castforce, Inc., N.D. Ga., No. 1:15-CV-03087-AT, 6/7/16).

Not really sure that you can convince anyone that their is a good reason for anyone to do business with Snap/ Castforce that operates out of Delaware or Florida? What characteristics if any do they posses if any of a reputable company?

Pros:

I have always been paid in full. This last check was the only one late.
The work is plentiful in my area.
The pay is average for my area.

Cons:

No field support whatsoever.
Changing and/or adding to the project after it has been released, with no corresponding change in payment.
Phones not answered. Calls not returned.
Constantly changing dates of projects.
I really, really dislike being lied to. Even CAST has said that SNAP is their "sister" company.
Deluges of shipments, then see: changing dates.

Here's my take on it:

If you can work independently, never needing to ask a question or get an answer in a timely manner, SNAP will work for you. Honestly, I can swing it. I just get annoyed. This thing with the CVS fixture install really got under my skin. That fixture was bulky and weighed a LOT. I'm not tall and I don't weigh a lot, but I'm no lightweight by any means. I've done heavy merchandising for years. My partner and I had to have help getting fixtures back and forth. We literally could NOT do it with the 2 of us. It should have been stated, upfront, that 3 people are required to move fixtures unless you're currently training for MMA!
Hey Gold Runner, you are starting to make me mad with your comments. I have worked for castforce and other companies associated with castforce for 8 or more years. I have always received my pay as promised. The company started to put pay on a skylight card and the reps went nuts. They thought it was inconvenient, blah blah blah. Now it is not on the Skylight card so you have to wait for them to mail it to you. You have to decide what you want.

I think if you have so many negative things to say about snap audits or castforce or any of the projects, you should go find some work at another merchandising company where you would be happier. These comments are not based on fact and do not do anything to help the other merchandisers who are trying to find out about this company. We need factual information, not slander.

Or anyone else who has questions, I would contact the company directly. This is a legitimate company that has been in business for many years. Their projects are simple and they are repetitive so once you learn them you can do them over and over again. It is a very good way to make extra money. they normally have a lot of projects in one area. The company website has the phone numbers you can use to contact someone and I would suggest you do that rather than trying to get information about the company from this message board.
@safeweb310 hahahahhaha and sorry for @goldrunner

@safeweb310 can you please answer these questions?

1) Why are they keep coming with different business names?
2) Why they ignored their employees (CAST employees) and contracted those projects to Snap Audit?
3) Why they are lying that Snap Audit is not their sister company because MS. Tammy little is/was part of both companies.
4) Why they reduced assignment fees from 11 to 10.50 when they switched IC from Castforce to Cast?
5) Why Tammy little come here on the forum, give her contact info but never picks up a call?
6) Why is support too bad for this company?
7) Why are completed jobs sitting in waiting for approval for last 3-4 weeks?

@safeweb310 don't try to be oversmart and rasie your voice, otherwise you will see $8-9 for the same jobs in future. you should LIVE WITH PRIDE.
1.) They were Cast and now they started a different Company called Snap Audits, nothing more, nothing less. Not "Keep" coming up with anything.
2.) Some assignments are not being taken by "employees" of Cast and so they find IC to do those, no biggie.
3.) I don't think anyone is saying, or lying, about their connection to Cast or their past connection to Cast Force
4.) They reduced the fees because gas prices are down, the assignments are simple enough for people who spell they're when they mean their.
5) She's busy, call your rep like you're supposed to or the help line.
6) Support is great, when you can get ahold of them.
7) The assignments say when you are to be paid, not when they will be reviewed and approved by quality control
They're not perfect, but what company is in the merchandising industry? NONE! None even come close to even being great anymore. Do the Staples resets for SPAR for $10 an hour IC less forced WC deductions, or Walgreen's resets for Premium retail where they don't require drug tests and you get to work with peeps that are on drugs or alcohol or Match Converge that hires, and keeps, anyone with red blood cells.
For the modest pay , snap audits treats everyone like they should be perfect, a quality business too busy avoiding issues
@spicy1 those questions were not for you so you should mind your own business. Don't always jump on others matters. So miss chilly REALLY??? I thought I have an option to refuse any store as an independent contractor but not when I was an employee. If she is busy then she should no offer help here and leave her number in this forum. Are you by the way English teacher? Can you give me some more classes? I would prefer to have free classes from you rather then working on snap audit projects.
Take a chill pill lazymerch. "What's in a name? That which we call a Rose......."

I was trying to be a counterbalance because no one wants to answer such a scathing, yellyish post. And, yea, I agree Ms. Thang should answer her phone and/or leave the ability to leave a message.

And when you're an employee for Cast, you choose your locations and you're responsible for all assignments in those locations. Sure, but you can choose no locations, 1 location, 2 locationnsnsnsnsnsns
spicy1 you say call rep or support line. Support line is great, please share the number. I was told there is no support contact ONLY your CS. So who is your great support?
Do you receive the daily emails that show the assignments available in your area?
The ones that have, in the Subject Line, Your First Name / Daily Snapshot Status?

At the bottom of the email it shows the Snap Portal Link.
And then it's signed by your Area Manager......And then under that it shows this:

SnapAudits Contract Specialist

Inspect, Correct, Perfect
SnapAudits, LLC portal.snapaudits.com
Support: (302) 307-2150 x3
When I first started with Snap my CS told me the support number went directly to her, so I never called it. She said they didn't have a support team and I was to call her for everything. If I recall correctly the support number use to be on my portal but isn't now. I'll have to give it a try when needed.
