Electronic store audits

Does anyone have experience with the big box store revealed electronic audits? The 2 day/10-12 hour ones?

I am looking for feedback on the type of tasks, difficulty level and reporting issues. These are the only jobs I am being offered by one MS company.

TIA

I have done these and will not do them again. Too much to do for too little pay...

I'm still learning 24/7.
For me, it also means two days of 80 mile round trips at $20 less than they used to pay, plus you foot the bill for your background check and drug test. Yes, you get reimbursed for that after a couple of audits but it's such a PITA that you're not likely to willingly do another.

Hello Lisa - I did ten of these big box two day audits ending in October 2010. The company pays quickly. The work is hard and there will be much more time involved in this than you expect.

I was treated really well by all employees at the company whenever I was able to reach someone. I was never able to get through on the emergency number to be used during audits. Unless they've improved in that regard, you need to be prepared to call in with a problem during an audit and get a recording, with no call back.

If you decide to do these audits, I want to recommend Donna Goodwin as a contact person. After I had stopped doing the audits, Donna called me and I found her to be concerned and professional. I think she would help you if you hit snags.

I had tremendous problems with data input and getting thrown out of the system. Since it's been so long since I audited, I'm no longer qualified to talk about inputting the reports. Perhaps some auditors who are doing these jobs currently will hop on the board and tell us about it.

If you are new at this business, I would recommend that you get some experience before you try these. I did them when I first started out, and I think that made it more difficult.

I did ten of these, so I couldn't have thought the pay was all that bad, but I also didn't think it was all that good. I believe these jobs could have been done with less time and effort than I put in, but I can't back off. With all that said, I'm really glad I did these audits. I learned a lot about this business and about electronics, and overall I think it was certainly worth it to me on a personal level if not financially.

I no longer work with GFK. This was their decision, not mine, after I made comments on this forum about my experiences with these audits. If you work with this company and turn in usable reports, my experience was that you will be paid promptly. I believe this is a solid and reputable company, and the work will be steady and continuing.

I worked with Donna Goodwin back before they started the electronics audit nonsense and found her to be professional and helpful. I remember one instance when I had two shops and accidentally reported shop #2 on the form for shop #1. I didn't realize it until I started to enter shop #2. I recognized my goof, contacted her and she got back to me promptly. She fixed the problem by killing shop #1 and resetting it so I could report properly. There was not the slightest hint of 'attitude' on her part, even though I was making more work for her. Rather there was sympathy that she couldn't salvage the report for me that I had already put in by changing the job number on it.
Thanks for all the input! I was kinda hesitant because the pay is barely adequate for the number of hours.

Is this the same DONNA that does the PRET Manager and the Ice Cream shops?

I seem to be having a problem with payment. I won't do a electronic audit until I am sure there is not a payment issue.

I know it is off the grand scheme of things but I have to know.
I have no idea because those shops do not appear to be offered in my market. And in fact I hadn't seen Donna mentioned in years until MDavisnowell mentioned her. But I do remember her fondly as one of the better schedulers I have dealt with.
