Applebee's

I get the Chilis in my area, but I have never seen an Applebee's shop. My sister is and IC for the same company, but lives in CA. She get's the Applebee's in her area, but has never seen a Chili's. I think it is funny.

I used to do Applebee's, but haven't seen it for a couple years (I live in CA).
I have never seen a Chili's, but would love to do it....maybe all locations are
not shopped.

Live consciously....
I shop for a MSC that does some grocery stores but I see "notice to: Applebee shoppers" on their website. I am never offered these jobs even with a grade of 10 so I have to assume that it's my age. I hate getting older.

There is no age restriction at all for the MSP that shops Applebee's in my area. Lucky, you will find they get easier. Very lengthy at first, and seems redundant. But they will improve.
What I hate with Applebee's and all the other fast food casual shops with this ms company, ie Famous Dave's, etc is that you have to get the manager's name. The funny thing is that they also do many fine dining shops and none of the clients requires the manager's name.

Chilli's in NY, PA and NJ is being done by a small company. I do not see the ms company in the list but it is listed on Jacob's post, the first post at the sticky. They are easy to do.
Ooooo.

I want to do an Applebee , they're right down the street from me, but I've never seen them on any MSC in these parts.

Got a restaurant for next week but not to eat at. Exit poll. I used to do them
for voting so it's okay with me.
These are definitely shopped in the Erie, PA, area by a great company...Look for the guiding light smiling smiley

You mean there's a MSC called "Lighthouse" ?

lololololol
heheheheheh
I'm in Michigan and I shop Applebee's quite often. In fact they are bonused right now. Does anyone else get tired of shopping the same restaurants?
My friend did not show up for lunch yesterday at Applebee's so I could not submit the shop. I did order for her but no she was a no show. drat
Does anyone know if Applebee's is shopped in South Florida? I am registered with several hospitality MSC's but I have not come across an Applebee's as of yet.

A bit off topic but does anyone know if they still offer their Weight Watchers menu? I haven't been there in years.

If you like Applebees so much try to shop Applebees for some other company who would reimburse you much more for a lunch shop. Trust me, this one word MSC you got your Applebees from are VERY FINICKY, they have some rude editors and schedulers who would not shoulder responsibility when they make mistakes, and they do everything in their utmost to find reasons to deduct from your shop fee. For whatever client not just Applebees. Good luck anyways!
I do both Applebees and Chilis in NY. The Applebees are in NJ and Long Island but not NYC or Westchester-Rockland county that are a different franchise. Chilis are NY Metro area. These are done by two separate MSC's.
i stopped doing the applebees in ny metro got tired of the food. Moved on to using other restaurants for my paid eating when im out there on the island.

I recently did one for them.
You mean you've done an Applebees in NYC? I've only done Long Island. was told they did not shop the NYC places.

Same company?

I sent Applebee's an email through their contact us link and received a reply that they do not use mystery shoppers in my area. Has anyone in Canada done them?
I just hate how we can't tell which companies...don't you think they would want us to so they can get a varied amount of shoppers in their pool???

No. I think if they wanted us to post the names of their clients on an internet site, they would tell us to do that rather than insisting that we sign a confidentiality agreement before disclosing their clients and locations to us. And, if you look at the job board portion of this forum, where the companies themselves post their job opportunities, how many post the name of their client?

I'll disagree that many MSCs aren't willing to try to steal a client from another MSC, though if they hear the client isn't happy, they might offer their services.

However, you're right that the MSCs have access by being a shopper, too. Some MSC owners started out as shoppers. Most schedulers and editors started out as shoppers and have access to companies. Heck! Many schedulers and editors are still shoppers. But that doesn't mean they act as a spy for the MSC they schedule/edit for though.

If anyone is interested, they can always use a fake ID to sign up if their intention isn't good. There are so many ways around finding out who shops who if a company owner wants to know. I know of a scheduling company owner who's done just that along with other things. If people want to know, they'll find out so ICAs don't really prevent the competition from finding out.

That being said, I haven't seen Applebee's in my area ever. I don't know if they're shopped in WNY as I was signed up with over 200 companies and never saw a listing. Perhaps they're with someone that I'm not active with any longer by now? That's okay because getting a manager's name can be a PITA, especially since I really need glasses. LOL

I am almost positive that the MS companies watch the scheduling of competitive companies to realign schedules to NOT coordinate. For example, if I find a nicely bonused shop in a rural town 100 miles from here, there are other bonused shops with a competitor company, but the dates are off just enough that I can not coordinate the shops from both companies into one route. It happens to me all the time.
I find just the opposite. I plan which day I want to go to a remote place and then let the schedulers know. Most if them will reschedule the shops for me. When I told one the other day for a company I did not realize I had even signed up for that I would be happy to do his shop when I'm in rural California town next, he moved his shop three weeks and assigned it to me. I thought I might hear back from him a few days before the shop if no one else grabbed it but i guess he wasn't taking chances that my calendar would fill up--last trip was a 22-hour day with 13 shops starting at 5 am. I was surprised as I have never shopped for this company and he didn't know me from Adam.

On my last trip I had all three Arches MSCs needing the same place shopped on the same day for the same meal. I could only accommodate two but the third has already scheduled me for my next trip with a bonus. One of them changed the meal period so that I could do both. Fortunately, there was a completely different crew for lunch than there was for breakfast.

I just had the scheduler for one of SoCal's best hamburger joints offer me a few. I could only fit in two for this weekend on my road trips but again I didn't even have to ask.
