Where did the McDonald shops go?

McD's was a dependable job for me for years. I haven't found a shop for them in months. Any clues ro where they went, or did they just quit the MS scene?

I noticed there were not any with the company known to do them...replaced with Airport shops....

But honestly, I don't do them because I don't want get fat from all the food you have to eat...

I thought I'd reached the famed cut-off since I haven't seen any golden arches for 2 weeks. Maybe they're revamping the program?

They're still shopped here but by two different MS companies at the same time. One of them is who had them before.

They're still there, at least in my area.

I don't see any listed now, nor any new ones for next month but they've been listed pretty steadily through last week. (gosh, an editor would love that sentence!)

I don't see them for next month, but I received an automatc offer for one this afternoon. I responded because it's close to my home & the fee has been increased to over $20 which never happens this close to home. I'll have to wait & see if I'm selected for the shop.

Perhaps someone may have taken them for a slightly raised fee. I have a slew of them one I got bonused on yesterday. I get tired of them but it the bonus is right then that means I don't have to cook dinner that evening.

The MSC that does them in my region bonused everything to high heaven to wrap the month up last week.

They're still being shopped here with added bonuses, but people grab them up too quickly. Maybe new shoppers signed up in your area.

Same here. I am getting a message in red at the bottom of my page saying that due to shop parameters and client requirements there are no current assignments available for me now.

I've done 6 this month at various bonus levels. Right now, they're probably done until after the first of the year. The multi-portaled MSP was pretty adamant that the 19th was their hard due date.

I just did one of the last ones in the my area. It was in a Wal-Mart so no drive-thru. Oaklandshopper is right bonus up to $15,couldn't resist(oh, and the bonus is OK too)

I haven't seen them in years and thought my market was no longer shopped. Until, a nearby friend saw them on his board. Evidently, the last shop I did at McDonald's was truly bad. Bad enough that I am never to shop the arches again. Not even a statute of limitations, it would seem.

I removed myself after doing the training! I've never done one and never want to. I almost never stop at a McD's - only if I'm traveling and it's the only place we manage to find. I haven't been to one in well over a year. If you've watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" on NetFlix, you might skip them, too!

There are loads of McDonald jobs at Toronto Pearson airport... I did one last month when I was travelling and the pay was pretty neat... $30 plus $10 reimbursement..

Haven't seen too many in the city though.

They have not stopped, but you may check with the company in focus, and asked if maybe you were spotted as a mystery shopper and reported. This could be the issue and if so, you may not get these shops back. This happened to me with another fast food restaurant.

The January ones are posted. If you don't see them, then it's mostly likely the msc excluded you from shopping them for a reason.

Here is a tip! Don't eat all the food. Just taste it. You don't have to eat it all. Be smart and get small items inside, and then the drive thru take it home after you have "tested" it.

You know, I do see a few lingering for December posted (too far for me) but I see none for January posted.

All of the McDonald's shops for January are now appearing on my job board. They weren't there late last week and I didn't check yesterday. But they're there now.

Yep, there's a bunch in my area posted today.

A bunch are on my board today too. . . just waiting until I can get them bonused! I was able to get $60 plus reimbursement for one day earlier this month.

I spoke too soon, they are posted now.

I'd sure like to get one for $60! Just did a lunch today for $18 + reim. via scheduler who called before Christmas w/any meal period which was unusually generous for around here. Many listed today for the usual $7.50 + reim.

Same here.

I also got a call from 3 different schedulers yesterday for a job to do tomorrow-all named the location. I mentioned to one that it was posted on 12/24 for a huge bonus-and he proceeded to tell me that bonuses were no longer authorized by schedulers, he would have to send it to a supervisor, didn't think it would be a problem, I'd see the e-mail shortly. I returned the call to the second scheduler, who is local to me-she said it had already been scheduled for someone else. She was very careful to note that it was done without bonus.

Wondering what the point was with both discussions-I have never known this MSC to have to ask a supervisor about bonusing flaked or late shops. ?????

I did two MD's in December and have signed up to do 6 in January.

Be patients, bonus and burgers are the key to this shop.
