Of course not! The MSC has lost touch with reality. They ask a shopper to be covert in neighborhoods where shoplifting occurs freequently.
The store security is watching you NOT buy anything for a half hour. You are acting as a shoplifter would who is looking for an opportunity to make a "five fingered discount". I wonder how may shops are actually completed.
If a Shopper is mistaken for a shoplifter the store may "plant" something on the shopper to avoid a law suit. I would not take the risk.
