Taylor and Associates - surveillance

I don't remember where I came across the contact info, but I inquired about some undercover surveillance related to PPV piracy. The principal contacted me a few months back but I was not able to do the assignment. Anyone heard of or done one of these? TIA

Yes, I've heard of this company. I sent them an email several months ago. I think they had a job posted on Jobslinger. They're on the east coast, PA, perhaps. I've not worked for them, but the job they had posted at that time said you could take the video with your cell phone.
This outfit is very, very secretive, refusing to tell shoppers anythin about the assignments until the shopper has signed some sort of scerecy agreement. Since the owner stated that the shops take place at night and can be done with a cell phone, I surmised that they would be looking for bars, etc., that were pirating televised sports events and similar stuff. I volunteered to sign the privacy agreement and do a shop, but never heard from him.

One of the very odd things was that the owner stated, on this forum I think, that we could trust him because he was a member of MSPA. Well, his company was a member when I looked, but MSPA does not, as we well know, require much more than annual dues from its members. No one that I know in the video shopping community has heard of him or the company, but that may well be because he operates, by choice, under the radar.

Thanks walesmaven, the principal contacted me as well for an assignment but I declined because the area was not one I was familiar with. If I accept an assignment, I will bring someone with me. Based on the information I was provided, you are to get an affidavit notarized because they are looking to ultimately prosecute due to piracy. There are other firms that state the same on the internet.

I was cleaning my MS'ing mailbox and came across an e-mail from this MSC regarding a video shop in my area. Since I have no experience with video shopping, I did not pursue it. Does anyone know if this MSC does non-video shops?

Have never heard of them doing non-video.

I want to emphasize I have NOT done a shop for the Company, but I am going off the email that was sent to me prior to doing a shop.
According to the email, the bare minimum is the affidavit (remember, we are talking piracy here, so they are using the statement of the shopper in the court of law), if you provide video, which does not have to be continuous, there is more money, as well as several pictures inside and outside there is even more money.

So to answer your question; shop2live, yes, they do non-video.
