Anybody have a good recipe to share?

I wish we had a special section on the forum, "Whine of the Day".

Isn't that every section of the forum?

No doubt you would have a much more intimate understanding of beisen than anyone else on the forum.

No soup for the Nazi.

Wasn't there a Soup Nazi in some film or SNL skit?

In July 2012, the Seinfeld Food Truck embarked on an eight-stop U.S. tour. The truck, driven by Soup Nazi actor Larry Thomas, handed out free soup, Snapple, Twix, Junior Mints, black and white cookies, and muffin tops.
But not to internet trolls.....

The Soup Nazi was a recurring bit on Seinfeld. He would declare, "No soup for you!" if someone didn't show him respect or did anything at all to offend him. I picked up the line as a way of saying, "Don't feed the troll" without actually saying the T word.

Wait...I'm confused. Doesn't he nazi make the soup?
Yes, the Nazi made the soup. The Nazi said "No soup for you", and I say "No soup for the Nazi". No soup no soup no soup. I want chicken and dumplings.

Is this No. 3 or No. 4? I've lost count.

Livesontospeaksmore, posters on the forum do not make the decision to ban someone. That decision is made by forum management.

You've made it clear you don't like the advice given and the opinions expressed by the members of the forum. It's hard to understand why you keep coming back but your posts are entertaining and I look forward to reading more of them. I get distressed every time you get yourself thrown off. If you were to tone it down a little, the game could go on longer and we could have more fun.

I think you're taking to an empty house, Mary. I don't see his post any more.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that since he's so much fun. But I doubt he will miss the post. He will certainly be back unless he breaks his pattern, and I don't think we could be that lucky. But, I will say he's entertaining, and it's too bad he doesn't know how to have fun with the little things that happen to us as we go along. It's sad when a person can't see the humor in life. His loss, too bad.

I'm still learning 24/7.
LOL. I was thinking about that too -- that he'll see the post, under a different name again. Might be fun to have a pool on when he'll be back and what will be in his new ID: Phree, Lives, Speech, Rights, or Rules.

Or maybe he'll go back to the bigkahuna thing. He clearly thinks either he should make the rules, or else there shouldn't BE any rules.

As a writer, I envy Mary for having had such memorable experiences growing up. My life was totally humdrum. I think the best writers are those who have truly LIVED, and she obviously did -- and not only survived what many of us consider hardships, but appears to remember the good things about that time period with a lot of fondness.

I feel the way Riki sums it up. I wouldnt even consider doing a 6.00 shop it takes more time than what they tell you it would take. We are cheap labor, lol. With the rising of gas and wear and tear on your car. Not only that, inputting the information can take longer than an hour. I dont like the fact that alot of these mystery shop companies take up to 6 weeks before you get a check. Coming from where I live, the shops are not 1, 2, 3 and all down Main street. I have to drive all over town. I will only take shops that pay me more money, pay me a bonus and pay my gas.(those being, when the account rep is desparate for a shopper) Maybe, I am picky but I am looking at the overall expense. I have started doing on-line car insurance/life insurance quotes they pay well 65.00 and all from the comfort of my home. I have signed up on several focus group websites hoping to get a bite here and there and hoping to find some on line focus groups in my area. They pay cash on the spot.
Regarding the $6.00 shops: In many cases you can easily spend $3.00 or more in gas to get to the shop. In my area regular gas is costing $3.459/gallon so at 20 MPG a shop that is only 9 miles away will cost over $3.00 when the round trip is factored in. This means that your net profit is less than $3.00. Now factoring in the time to do the shop and the time to input the report and effectively you are making less than minimum wage.
Well, that's if you only do ONE shop and you weren't going there already. I wouldn't drive around the block for ONE shop. I only do singletons if I have to drive past them to go somewhere else.

But I personally don't get out of my car for less than $7.50 unless I'm hungry.

I will do single shops if the pay makes it worth my while. I won't even look at a shop unless the pay is $9.50 or greater.

LOL some of the Housewives I talk to think it's a scam or they think they will be able to go to a store and buy a cart full of stuff and get reimbursed for it. Sometimes my "80+ yro" Aunt thinks that way, she's all the time getting stuff in the mail about buy this stuff to learn how to do this and she gives it to me to check it out so I can make money (lol, she hasn't caught on these people make money selling their advice/system) -

I get asked all the time "How did you find a legitimate company, etc." when I reveal I am a Mystery Shopper/Merchandiser, survey taker, beta tester, yada yada
,
I'm lucky enough to be retired USAF w/VA disability. Mystery Shopping, Merchandising, Survey taking, WOM campaigns & freebies are helping provide extras in my life.

I am learning alot from the forum. Got a call yesterday and got 2 FF shops at same location 48 hrs apart and will pay me $14 fee ea - Usually $6-8. They wanted me to do this week and said I couldn't kid on springbreak. So they asked if I could do it next week, looked at my calendar and said yes and what days. Only 20 mins away from home - live in a rural area.

Well I wish I could pin this forum to my "Legitimate freebies,..." board at Pinterest then they would find us.

Just reading what that poster whom I shall not name wrote - sounded just too weird and that English was not their 1st language and they were trying to pick (a fight)! whew....
