does anyone know what is up with Fast Food Shops and Market Force

I am not seeing any of the usual Fast Food shops offered by Market Force. Usually at the beginning of the month there are lots of them because they are still paying only $7.50. Did they loose the contract with that large company? If so, how got the contract? Or am I the only one that is not being offered the shops?

I see them. Did you try the 200 mile radius trick? If you have and still aren't seeing them, you have probably been banned from them.
IF you flunk one of their questionnaires you won't see them until they're in another project. Or if you decline a shop you can tell them to kill the project for you, maybe you did that by accident thinking you were just declining one location?

Or they just don't like you. LOL.

I deliberately declined their "main" FF company because I don't like to shop them. Makes it so much easier to find jobs without having the scroll through 200 of those things.

That's a great idea. I haven't done one in well over a year, and yet, I won't decline them because I *might* miss a great bonus if I can't see them.
I declined their main FF client permanently and have no regrets. I hope they continue with their new, regal client. I did two regal shops and found them to be much easier and more fulfilling (to me) than the main FF client's shops I ever did.

Now, if MF could please respect my request to decline permanently the airport shops, that would be wonderful. No matter how many times I chose to decline all future shops for that project, more shops keep popping up.

Yours keep coming back? Hmm. Maybe you need to decline more of them then. I declined all Golden shops and they haven't come back, though I did see one airport shop come back on the list that has since dropped off. Maybe it is a new client over at IAH. Either way, I don't work hard for food and I don't want to drive 45 mins each way to IAH, even if I did have a reason to be over there more often. Either way, not getting emails for bonus shops a long way away for a client I haven't and won't finish testing for is cool.
I think their airport shops are a number of different clients. But I've never seen more than two on the board at the same time. If you WANT airport shops they have a separate job board for those, but it drives me nuts because you can't search by airport so you have to scroll through every airport in the country to find the one you're flying in or out of.

There are several large airports in my area. I have "permanently" declined airport shops more than 30 times and I still see them. Sometimes, only one or two shops show up. Sometimes, there are more than 10 of them. Aaargh. OTOH, the FF shops never came back. grinning smiley
I find the airport shops great. The ones near me are for a pretty good place to eat and frequently heavily bonused. And I'll only do them when they are. The starting fee is to paltry for the hassles of the form.
The separate board for them takes to long to load so I just put the airport zip code in and a 5 mi radius.

OMG! Me, too! I keep permanently declining the airport shop that is over 80 miles from me - and the toll highway food shops. They keep coming back!!! They have that nice little section to click on for airport shops, why can't they leave all airport shops there? I have never shopped that airport and it's post security.

I am badged to do the airport in my city, with another msc. Market Force is putting the airport shop that is over 80 miles from me daily on my shop to do. I can't get rid of it. It's not just one airport shop, it's like 15-30, all post security. Plus, they put another 10-15 freeway toll plaza shops, which is over 100 miles from me. If I do my own radius search of 100 miles, none of those shows up.

All the airport shops that show up on my default MF shop available page are post security shops. Yes, they are frequently bonused but I have no interest in doing those shops. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the shops. More power to those who enjoy such shops and I wish more shoppers in my area would take those shops so I would not have to keep seeing the shops.
Plenty of FF shops here in Georgia so they are still there. Holding out for a bonus though, if I am going to get fat it will cost them. HA!
Still seeing lots of FF for several brands, including a couple of new ones on MF.

No fee, no shop.
If you click the wrong thing, they ban you for a month for that client.

It happened to me, I called them and they said, "30 days lashing with a wet noodlesmiling smiley"
I picked up two hedgehogs for this week. I discovered one of the allowed burgers doesn't come with mayo. I've been having to order hot dogs and was sick of them but now I can get a burger without mayo. Helps to look at the menu online ahead of time.

No hedgehog assignments available within 200 miles of me right now. But I've been doing a lot of them lately, so I might not be able to see any that are listed.

Oh please tell me which one doesn't come with mayo. I'm allergic to mayo but I do the shop for the drink. I guess I didn't see it on the online menu - will have to check next time. Thanks for the info!

But yes, some FF and grocery are disappearing from my list slowly. But not all locations, just certain ones and not ones that I shop more than others. Why can't MF give some sort of feedback or at least let you know what's going on. Frustrating.
"Hedgehogs"? Is that a regional thing or do I need to have another cup of coffee?

It's code that enables us to talk about a company with others who have done the shop without actually naming the company. Think children's books.

It's the Jr. Double Cheeseburger.

You mean like a BIG BOOM?
Depends on if you've eaten there lately or not. winking smiley

I know it's code, but I should have asked if the store was regional or national. Now I have it!
Heh, heh....Sega...big boom...

I don't know if this has been mentioned in other threads, but I'm quite annoyed with the additional requirement of having to get out of the vehicle to go inside and check out the bathroom. I couldn't believe they added that but didn't raise the pay rate - they did raise the reimbursement rate by 30 cents!!

The first one I did, it was pouring rain and I had to go in the back where the deliveries were made. I had to buzz the door and a manager let me in. I had no doubt that she knew she was looking at a secret shopper!

I don't do many because of the low pay but I really expected them to offer more with the increased duties.

Shopping off and on for 20+ years in NE Arkansas.
A couple of weeks ago I was playing around with the advanced search feature in advance of an upcoming trip. Just for fun I decided to do a search for the city next to mine, same radius (100 miles). About 20 more shops popped up, all within 10 miles of me, so the radius wasn't the issue. Don't know whether to be happy or mad. I signed up for several of these "new" shops. I do advanced search every time I go to this MSC's page.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
I have to search on 200 miles to get the stuff that is 90 miles away to show up.

I have a location 2 miles away. A 10 mile search doesn't show it, but a 15 does! Crazy.....

I noticed that the overseas company that held that contract originally is advertising a few of these for a much higher rate of pay. The client may be dipping their toes in the water between two MS's.
Hey, for folks that do the main Fast Food client of Marketforce or really reasturant chain that you do frequently.... here is a tip to make your $$$ strech. Lots of people get gift cards during the holiday season they don't want and there are several places on the web life Giftcard.com, Raise.com, Cardpool.com or PlasticJungle.com where people sold or traded their unwanted, unused but verified full value cards for around 75 - 80% of face value. These web sites then turn around and sell them to others for around a 10 - 15% off face value discount. Since I tend to do a lot of "hedgehog" assignments, I always have 3 - 5 of their $10 gift cards that I snagged for $8.70 each. It's a way to strech the dollar a bit.
