Need Help...Maritz and the 640 x 480 megapixles delima

Maritz requires independent contractors to submit a test photo that is 640 x 480. The only adjustments on my camera are in megapixles and I just ran through everything from 3MP to 14MP and got back word

"Each Megapixel size on your camera was too big. The first photo is 2048 X 1536 pixels. The second photo is 2880 X 2160 pixels. The third photo is 4288 X 2416 pixels. The fourth photo is 4288 X 2848 pixels. And, the fifth photo is 4288 X 3216 pixels.

You might want to try using Google. Enter a search for “resize my image”. You will find programs that will quickly and easily re-size your photos."

SOoooooooooooooooooo....

Can anyone point me to an easy to use website where I can quickly convert all of my lovely gas pump photos to the proper size / dimension / megapixle size to make the auditors at Maritz happy?

Irfanview is a program I've been using for a long time. It resizes anything to whatever you want and you can do batch conversions if you have a lot of pictures. It converts my 100 pics in a few minutes, if that. winking smiley

I downloaded mine from tucows. smiling smiley
I use irfanview too when needed, it was recommended to me by one of the Maritz photo editors years ago and works beautifully.

I use the free on that is on the CoRI website. I downloaded it years ago when I did my first CoRI shop and as they say, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." It worked for the CoRI shops, so I've used it for everything.
I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. I assume it came with my Microsoft Office Suite, but I'm not sure. Maybe you can download it on the MS site. I know that I absolutely LOVE the program. I used to do the resizing through Paint. It sucked. It sucked bad. Someone on here told me about MS Picture Manager. I tried it once. I will never use anything else! You can resize them all in about 20 seconds! You can renamed them all in about 45 seconds per shop. If you only do one shop, there's not really any need to rename them, but I have this compulsive need to rename them.
I also use the free one from Cori. You can get it through C-Net as well. PIXresizer - fast and flexible - works great.
Does anyone know of a batch photo resizer that works within a web browser as opposed to something you download? I am hoping to do everything from my Chromebook, which isn't a Windows computer. I already know that one solution is to change the resolution of the photos I am taking; I really was hoping there might be a browser-based mass photo resizer. All I have found are sites that can resize one photo at a time.

Mac users can use Preview to easily resize images. With Chrome, you can add Pixlr Editor free from the Web Store and use that.

No fee, no shop.
For most cameras, the lowest resolution setting will usually get you 640x480. That usually translates to a setting of low or the lowest available. Very Fine is usually the highest.

I shoot with a DSLR (needed for my day job). I also do a photo dump into iPhoto on my Mac (Photoshop Elements or Google Picasa for PCs) and re-export with the lowest resolution. That does the job for Maritz.

Alternatively, shoot full frame from about 50 feet away, then in the photo editing software, zoom in to the 640x480 size.

Hope this helps.

Otherwise, feel free to email me privately.

I use AVS Image Converter - you have to download it to your computer but you can do batches of pictures very quickly. Most of my shops are Maritz, so I'm familiar with the 640x480.
