**YOUR POST AND ACRONYMS**

Please, someone start a key listing of all acronyms being in post along with their expansions.
Label it as 'Acronyms'.
Then when someone wants to use one in their post, they can add it to the acronym list so that others who read the post can go to the list and at least have an idea of what is being discussed.
That way, the acronym and definition will not be in the post thus, not breaking any rules on post.
Just saying....

If the acronym and definition in a forum post would break a rule, wouldn't having it in a thread labeled ACRONYMS also be breaking the same rule? I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here.

OK, I'll play. How about, "Go Toggle Yourself!".
Would that qualify?...grinning smiley

Something that has confused me in the past (and I still have to stop and think) is CRI. On this forum, "CRI" means CoRI, but on the "other" forum it means Certified Reports. I don't understand why. I know that Certified is a part of Market Force now, but to me it is still like a separate company. (Different corporate offices, different personalities, different jobs and different websites--I still access the purple portal through criny.com.) And using "CRI" is easier than trying to explain the purple portal--again.

Do you mean "cori=corporate research international," "MF=Market Force," etc.. We often talk in code as not to violate ICA. Other times we abbreviate because CORI or CRI is easier to type.

When we say "Multitude of Men" or "Hedgehog" we are trying not to violate ICA. If you shop these places, it's clear who they are. If you are perplexed, it's time to sign on with more companies.
Acronyms do not prevent ICA (independent contractor agreement) violations.

The CORI and CRI is confusing. Corporate Research refers to themselves as CRI, but like Sandi, that acronym was already being used to identify Certified Reports (are they even around anymore) so CORI was born.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

CRI was bought by Market Force, but the MF website still refers to Certified as an entity.

Please do not create a "key" anywhere on the forum for the names of clients. I would think that such would definitely be a violation of the ICA, and would undermine the shared value on this forum of not giving away the research each one of us does in finding the clients that we want to shop.
Beyond that, we already would never mention a client's name and then use an abbreviation or acronym for the MSC in the same thread. Such would be a clear violation of the ICA.
If, however, the OP wants a listing of the common terms, abbreviations and acronyms (but nothing that identifies a client!) used around here, I'm sure that would be easy to accomplish, e.g. (exempli gratia - for example)...
ICA - Independent Contractor Agreement
OP - Original Post(er) (the first entry or author on a thread)
MSC - Mystery Shopping Company
GS - Gas Station
FF - Fast Food
CoRI, Cori, CORI, cori, and sometimes CRI - Corporate Research International
GFK, GfK - GfK Mystery Shopping (the acronym is part of their name)
MF - Market Force (or an obscenity that conveys the sentiments of some shoppers concerning MF)
"chicken littles" - a pejorative expression unique to this forum sometimes used to describe shoppers who run around snatching up all the shops that they can as if the sky is falling, rather than waiting for the shops to go up in price
... etc. (et cetera - and other things)
Chicken Littles? Did you make than one up?...winking smiley

Be careful, cruiseguy. Some N2R2EPs may look at your "just saying" for the Acronym that you're up to nothing good. and toggle you. But one thing for sure they will have to read you first. just saying................grinning smileygrinning smiley

Nope. Do a search. You'll laugh and cringe.
Also abbreviated "CL"
