Theater Blind Check

I have a question for someone who may have done a theater blind check before, before I sign up for one.

The instructions say a "closing ticket" is required to be purchased.
What is a closing ticket?

I've done many blind checks. I've never heard that expression. What company is that for?

I decided to request the shop since they contact you before assigning you anyway, so I can ask them then. I just did a blind check for them and that term wasn't used. I have no clue what it is!
The only thing (that I can think of) that would be "closing" would be the theater's ending numbers, but you wouldn't ask them for that in a blind. I've had to do that. I've done CFA blinds, too, but don't recall that. It's been a while, though...maybe it's something new. Or a mis-stated term? Do you have to do every show time? Maybe "closing" is their way of saying "last" show time? PLEASE let me know when you find out. I do a lot of theater work (not so much blinds and opens any more, though) and am intrigued.

It's a drive-in with double features, so you pay the admission price and see two movies on one screen. That's all I know though. haha, when I find out I'll let you know!
OK - found out!

The closing ticket is the last ticket sold (or close to the last ticket sold) before the box office closes.
Great, just to make things even better we've gone from puns to discussion Canadian grammar. Well might as well teach you all a lesson then. Regardless of the pronunciation of about and whether or not we're known for it, yes, we are prone to the usage of the term "eh".

That's kind of what I thought, but a blind is usually unrevealed.
So you have to reveal yourself after all? Or count the number of cars?
(I think you're in my general area. Are you going to the one in W. C.?)

Sandi,
How it was explained to me is that the shopper goes in and buys one of the first tickets. Than a second person (with the shopper) buys the last ticket. So you don't reveal yourself. You do count cars though. I elected not to do it, because I feel like that's a lot to ask a friend who's not a shopper.

Ms.Gail, CFA is MF's movie division.

CFA stands for certified field associate - it's..IT IS part of Marketforce.

But it was on its own until a few years ago. I still use their old website. The movie division operates pretty independently of Market Force.
