the odd guys burger store

I just got an email from the MS that shops this company. They asked me if as a new shopper I had ever worked or knew anyone that worked for this company. It said that they know the question on the survery was asked but integrity is important. I've never been into one of these shops, known anyone who works there or worked there myself. I stated that in my response but it makes me wonder if all new shoppers of this store get this email. Made me feel a bit creepy as if they thought I was lying. I took the shop because I was curious about the place and going to be doing some other shops in the area. Now I wonder if that was a wise decision. Anyone else get this?

I would say without any doubt that burger is the cause of the majority of shoppers nixed from the data base. I am POSITIVE they know you are the shopper via video matching up. I learned that off hand when I ordered a hot topping choice and was asked what no pickle today? I said no do not like pickles. Their response last week you liked them. Hmmm. Every single time EVERY. Time they flunked on something, not by a little but a lot.
I got the same email today and this will be my first assignment there. Just do not worry about it and enjoy your burger!
If this is your first shop there you might be taking it too lightly.

It is my first shop and I'm not taking it lightly. I'm wondering if all new burger shoppers get this or what. I'm hoping they are not hard to do.
They're some of the easiest shops out there to me.

Considering the MSC, how hard could they be? I tried one just because everyone raved about them and it was easy to the point of being boring.

Their burgers are growing on me. But yes, they're easy even compared to other shops by this MSC. They're great if you're out and about and need a free lunch anyway, because they're so easy it really is practically free.

They are easy but do not be fooled - they know who you are. I did a bunch of lotsa fries and was suddenly not allowed to do anymore. I am sure that I was outed as a shopper.
When I started shopping them, they were shopped by another MSC - Franchise Compliance, which may now be defunct. When the current MSC landed the account, there was no warning in the screening/report as there now is. Burger employees' bonuses are based, in large part, on mystery shopping reports. When that became known, employees, relatives and friends, became shoppers. Hence, the reason for caution - to help assure integrity. Honest shoppers have nothing to worry about.
I never got one either. Well, I don't remember getting one. Either way, I don't know anyone that works there, except the people that wait on me once a week. I'm starting to feel like I know them. The one girl is really cute. Don't tell my wife I said that.

Silver Certified on the Carolina Coast. You want fries with that?
Not at all...I put all my effort in every shop, try not to stress and enjoy as much as I can.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but the ones that allow you to choose what you want to order all have PILOT in the shop name here. Hope this helps someone.
Read the guidelines, know your colors... If they have a sit down bar (one of mine has this with stools facing the kitchen area), just sit there and enjoy your burger. And I also got that email, for the odd number guys and 2 other food shops from the same company. No worries. The report is straight forward and easy.

I love these shops.

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
I did some of the first shops when this MSC got the account and it is my belief that something got messed up early on. I, and I'm sure everyone else shopping them at that time, got an urgent email threatening criminal prosecution and debtor jail and everything else in between if we were shopping the store when we knew someone that worked there, etc. I think I had to send back an email certifying I had no relationship (Not only did I not have a relationship but I had never heard of the chain as there were only a few brand new stores in this state at the time.). Eventually it calmed down a bit and at some point I re dived an email saying I was now verified.
There is one store I shop every month and every month I get a shopper contact because the time o. The receipt is 30 or so minutes before I say I shopped there. I send them the email from my stopwatch and that's it. I think they take the reports very seriously. Now, if only they would just fix the clock on their cash register.
I did my first one yesterday. The shop was easy and good. There was actually a question on the form that is similar to what whiterosie just said. I was actually shocked to see it as I've never done a shop with this on the form. I have three more to go this month.

I have one of those later today. I'm thinking the bacon cheese dog will be worth it.
I had my meal delivered to me by the cashier. I ordered the dog today, Huge mistake, made me sick. It's already tomorrow morning and I'm still feeling green. If they out me, I don't care. I blend in well and use the iphone stopwatch app, and then save the image if they don't trust me. I suspect this may be my last shop because I gave them 0 on the quality of the dog. I never ate a dog split lengthwise down the middle. Never got sick from one either, even eating the dirty water dogs on the mean streets of NY
I got the same email before my first shop for that client. I had never set foot in one of their locations before and definitely didn't know anyone who worked there, so I didn't worry about it.

I haven't tried the hot dogs, but the veggie sandwich is delicious. I highly recommend it to those who get the chance to do a pilot visit and want to try something different.
