I guess I was being unfair to the MSC. They just sent me an email offer with a Premium Fee of two dollars for a McDonalds shop!

Let's see, it's a breakfast shop at a location 40 miles away. Two dollars ought to cover an 80 mile round trip, don't ya think?

Thanks! I added it!
I actually got a phone call from them today. I was thinking that's strange, it's awfully early in the month for bonuses. They wanted me to do Sonic for $7. Um, no. "You did it before for $7, I'm going to put you down for it." "I said no, $7 is not enough. I did it before because I was already going to be in the area and needed lunch at the last minute."

I have never had a phone call offering me $1 bonus. Think I'll let the next one go to voice mail.

You could buy half of something at the dollar store!

Do they carry half and half?

Put it in my daughter's piggy bank.

Willing to travel, Alberta, Canada
Got a call from as scheduler (American English not a strong point) asking me to do a shop 300+ miles away for a $5 bonus. I said it was too far away. The reply was: Well $5 is a lot of money. I said, I'll do it without the bonus it you cover the airfare, hotel, meals and rental car. She said she could offer $6.

I get calls all the time offering a $1 bonus, for shops days from now. I tell them I think I will wait. They sometimes ask why and I just repeat the "no" without giving a reason.

Sometimes they call offering me the same amount that's online!

Earlier this week, shops were still at $5, and I got a call offering $6. I declined. The next day all the shops were $6. I don't know why they bother calling to offer itty bitty bonuses.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
Was offered a shop -- well, several -- at the end of the month spread out all over the state. They offered them for $35. I explained I had a 13 year old car, that $35 wouldn't even cover gas and counter-offered for $100. They turned me down. About a week later they email offering the same shop for $70, then another for $100, another for $150 and the last for $200. I did 'em all and saw more of this state in one week than in all the time since I moved here.

Now it's back to scrounging for $15 cell phone shops.

So your saying they payd you $100 to visit mcdonalds ?? jeesh
Once had a call to do an Arches shop for LESS than what was on the board. Ummmm.... NO! Offered to do it for what was posted on the board (yeah, I know) and was told they couldn't give it to me for that.

Bwah! Now that's so ridiculous it's funny. And sad. :/

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
There are ALL gone in Southern CA. Since we have a high cost of living, people grabbed them when the bonus went to $2. LOL So pathetic.
I don't mean to rile you, StormCloud and stilllearning, but relevant to this thread are the emails from a certain samanthetic scheduler that have started arriving this week.
Elcare, what does samanthetic mean? Don't find it in my dictionary. ??

It is a not so vague reference to the MSC.

I don't think that Samantha understands sarcasm. Or, for that matter, the true definition of bonus smiling smiley
Samantha offered me $11 to do a shop that is a 2-hour drive one way on an extremely winding, treacherous mountain road in NorCal. I hope she wasn't offended when I fell off my chair laughing.

Proudly shopping from behind the Redwood Curtain on my own organic slice of hippie heaven.
