Marketforce Audits

I keep seeing these audits come up for department stores through MF. They pay $25-$35 but also say that you'll be there 3+ hours.
Has anyone done these? Do they really take that long? Worth it?

That is a scary concept. If THEY say it will take 3+ hours, what in the world will it really take? Most companies hugely under estimate how long anything takes. I wonder how long that report takes to fill out.
Hoju, there is a lot of other threads and discussions on this topic.

Most people say about an hour or so, depending on the availability and helpfulness of the store personnel.
Expect two hour during your first audit, later you might be ale to do it in 1-1,5 hour. It depends on a manager too, most of the managers I worked with want to get it over with and help to speed things up.

This particular MSC (blue, not purple) actually does seem to over-estimate at times. I have rarely had their fuel station audits take anywhere near an hour, and they have other mystery shops that they say may take up to an hour but rarely, if ever, actually do. I think their estimates are probably at the high end, so shoppers will have a reasonable expectation of the time the audit *could* take.

That said, I have not done the audits in question so I can't comment on those specifically.
I agree with Omgee. I did a seasonal-type audit for MF yesterday and the guidelines stated ii would take from 15 to 40 minutes. When I reported that the shop took less than 20 minutes, it triggered a question about why the shop was under 20 minutes. Quite frankly, I'm slow, so the shop, realistically, could have been done in just over ten minutes.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Hoju,
look under the department store and MF and you will find lots of info about this audit. All depends how large the specific location is, how meshy, and the specific extra reporting requirements of the state that the store is located in. I get a headache after these specific audits and wait for them to go for $50+, but they only offer the bonus in phone calls, rarely on the website.
