Papa Johns pay submission

For Papa Johns shops with one of the large companies, I am finding difficuly in choosing which pizza to order. The shop allows for reimbursement of 1 large pizza up to $18.00. I almost always order a special that allows for two pizzas for $19, Large pizza, breadsticks and chicken things for $18 or whatever scenario is going down at the time. In the part that asks how much everything was after tax and tip, it will not let me put in more than $22 ? (I think, maybe $24) dollars as the total on my bill. Right under this spot, it asks for how much just the pizza was. What do you guys put?

One time I purchased a deal like three larges for $20 or something and thats the special. You buy all at the price or nothing...... I have done it a few different ways at different times, and have been paid up the the max reimbursement except for the scenario I just stated, where it looked like they divided the cost by three. And how do you deal with that box that wont let you put in the total at more than a certain amount, even though its asking you your grand total??

The ones I've done require you to purchase a single pizza at normal price. You can order additional items if you want, but the required pizza cannot be part of a special.

Im not a fan and the specials often are too questionable to try. I usually just order the one pizza.
The special I am using right now is buy one at regular price and get the second for 30 cents. That way my regular one is reimbursed.
I rarely eat the pizza so I always just get 1 and give it to the kids that live next door to us.
I've gotten the 50% off my entire order deals. I order two pies and put down half of my total order +tax/delivery/tip.
I don't patronize Papa John's ever - it's a basic principle thing. I hate how little the organization values its employees. If Papa Murphy's was shopped or Pagliacci ... well, that would be a whole different ballgame!

I ended up doing this one, I just deducted the .30, is that what you did?

I have never had a problem ordering a special. I just always go with the pizza at menu price. Say there is a meal deal for $25 that comes with cheesesticks, 2 liter, pizza, and chicken- If I ordered the pizza by itself- It's $13. So I subtract $13 for my pizza plus tip & recalculated tax. I do them monthly and never had a problem.
Always ordered just one, and then give it to homeless people after taking the required photos. Not a big fan of chain pizza. Kinda like McPizza, IMO. I prefer pizzas from little mom & pops, like My Cousin Vinny. It's like the difference between a prime rib and $.49 burger...
I have ordered multiple things many times and put the price/delivery fee for 1 pizza and subtracted the difference. I have been doing the 1 pizza +30c for a second for all three companies this month. The weirdest is that some of the PPj locations have different price for the exact same pizza based on the day of the week. (I have done some locations multiple times in a month.)
I always look up their one pizza price -despite what I actually paid. That is the price I put in for the one pizza.

Never ever has been a problem.

I'm surprised at how much neg towards Papa Johns pizza. I am not personally a fan, but I wouldn't throw or give it away. Interesting.....
I missed the point. When I was told about the special ($0.30) I thought it meant I could get an additional topping, and rejected the offer. When I got there to pickup I discovered it was for a second pizza! What a bargain. My wife later told me I should have gotten it and given it away to the kids across the street. Of course. My mind just couldn't take in the information on the phone. But the shop was good.

Great suggestion, Thanks! Never thought to do that

I was going to actually grab one today, but it looks like someone beat me to it. Are the pictures an issue? I've only done one PJ but for another MSC. I had no problem with the pictures, but I know it's an issue with other shoppers.
I've done several for the very large MSC and have never had a problem with the pictures. I take them with my iPhone in my kitchen (which has good light).
I've been dreading trying a papa johns shop, as i heard the horror stories with denials. But I just logged in and they upped the fee from 20 to 25 so i'm gonna take a plunge and go for it.

Any tips ? Clear pictures, hold camera correct.. get the right paperwork in photo and thats it right ?

Bad thing is, I'm not even going to eat this thing! ..

I've only ever had one shop come close to being rejected. The directions encourage you to use flash, but if you have good lighting you may want to turn off the flash to be sure it's not a washed out picture.
After doing several successful shops, I suddenly had photo issues, apparently. Although it was the exact same camera, exact same place in the house, all of that. After a lot of back and forth, the shop was accepted and marked for payment (and was eventually paid), and I was told that the people going over the photos had made a mistake, and not to worry about it, my photos were just fine like they always had been, and would I like to do another one in a couple of weeks?

Well, wouldn't you know that shop a couple weeks later had photo issues, too? After another round of back and forth, the shop was marked for payment, but I refused to do another shop for them ~ regardless of MSC, since they apparently use more than one. I was pleased with the way the MSC resolved things, and have no issue with them; it's the client who apparently suddenly became too difficult to please.

I just never understood why my photos, which had always been acceptable over many shops, suddenly were no longer acceptable. At the time, many others on this forum were reporting similar issues with their photos. This was a year or more ago, I think. Since then, I've repeatedly seen people posting that photos don't seem to be an issue any longer.

I wonder if things have eased up a bit?

I think there are some clients who want the shop results but don't want to pay for them. There was a particular mattress company who made a habit of rejecting shops for the most ridiculous reasons. Shoppers weren't paid and the MSC had a hard time assigning those shops. Rather than alienate shoppers, the MSC finally dumped that client.

Haha Why does everyone hate it?? Apparantly I have low pizza standards, and not from lack of travel.

I havent ever had issues, but I do take all my pics with my nikon professional camera, and as far as tips, just shoot in good light if possible. Most all I have done have been before it got dark though, now that I think about it , and I would open the shades. I also just follow the directions to a "T". I havent ever used my phone to take the pics.

Just did my first Papa Johns in years. Now I know why. I need to order a one or two topping large. The special is order any large and you get a one topping large for 30 cents. So a two topping large pizza is 11.99 she tells me but if I get the special the total for the two comes to 21.99. With tax the one pizza comes to $16.40 as they add a delivery fee. I am not sure how adding .30 adds $5 to the total but I decided not to spend $2+ tip over the reimbursement amt for an additional questionable pizza. The person on the phone told me she does not set the prices.

The $11.99 is also a promotional price. When you add the 30 cent pizza that offer can't be combined with that promotion so the price jumps to whatever the regular price is plus 30 cents. It's a bit misleading if you are not familiar with what Papa John's normally charges as they have almost always been running some type of promotion for either any large or a one- or two-topping large for the last 3 years.
Yes I figured that out but it is soooo misleading. I called the msc and suggested they add to the reimbursement amt for delivery jobs since the price here has 2.99 extra for delivery plus what ever tip you add making the cost for one 14" pizza close to the max.on special. At the regular price delivery of a 2 topping 14" would have been close to $25.00. It was suprisingly decent though. Their pizza seems to have gone uphill since the last time I had one.
Am I correct in saying the one company that does PJ reimburses up to $18 + a whopping $1 tip AND no fee??
More than one company does Papa Johns... One I see with a fee and one without.

Has anyone ever used a buy one get one free promo code on one of these shops?

Just trying to figure out if I am going to get reimbursed fully.
