Mystery shopping is exactly that for me. It is a Mystery why so many merchants would think about how and why they operate when they open their doors.
I am not negative when I shop. I call them as I see them and I give the benifit of the doubt. The floors are NOT dirty if it snowed and customers tracked dirt into the store. Rush hour is exactly that. I would not expect the same service when the employee is working to the best of their ability and still manages to smile and present themselves with a great attitude. That is GREAT service.
I found out 50 years ago how to be a successful entrepreneur. My customers could not believe the experience when they gave me their business. I actually treated customers like human beings. Imagine that!. I did not cheat or abuse them.
I was never tempted to cheat or abuse customers as I would rather see them again. I enjoyed and appreciated when customers would tell their friends and relatives about me. I did not have to advertise, my customers did that for me. I rewarded them by sharing the savings with them. That gave them another reason to shop again.
I did not keep my common sense a secret. I SUGGESTED to those who asked for my help how and why I did the things I did. Those who followed my SUGGESTIONS were successful. Those who followed the crowd had to work harder to find new customers to replace the customers they lost. Life us a choice.
When I do mystery shops I call them as I see them. I give the good with the negative. If the editors and the merchants can not handle it I see no reason to falsify a report.
When I read the posts I wonder why people grumble about the deal they are given. Some have no choice. They need to take the lower pay and no fee for food shops or starve. Those who do have a choice should remember how I chose which shops I will take. If it is NOT FUN I am NOT going to do it! If it is NOT MUTUALLY benificiial I am NOT a charity. I am not taking money out of my pocket to perform the shop.
