wish radio shacks were ms

I again lost my head except this time it was my data cable to my phone. The manager at the desk was supper nice, asked me 2 qualifying questions, and then led me straight to the object. I balked at the price and she reminded me, quite gently mind you, that it was a data cable and not an ordinary charging cable. She also mentioned in passing that with a warranty it could be replaced easily which would mean that I was getting a great deal. She even joked about the fact that the register was down because of the internet being down.
All in all she was professional, helpful and quick if not a tad quirky.

I really wish that someone would pick up radio shack since it would be nice to let their corporation know they have great service with a knowledgeable staff.

Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all

I bought batteries with that shop. I may try to do it again since the manager who knows me is leaving.
most radio shack stores are being closed this year

I shopped a Radio Shack 60 days ago. Couldn't wait to get out of that store since the man waiting on me had hygiene issues.
I've done about 25 of those, mostly routes. I thought they were easy and the reporting simplesmiling smiley
Radio Shack is definitely shopped. This evening I saw several locations listed in Ohio.
I had to go to Radio Shack for batteries for my kitchen scale just a couple of weeks ago. I had gotten them at Office Max before. The associate said OM didn't carry them anymore and recommended the RS next door.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
If I need cables or batteries in a a hurry I go to my local Radio Shack. It is much quicker than going to Office Depot, which is in the same shopping center.

Go to Costco and get those AA and AAA batteries in bulk. Much more cost effective and saves fuel and frustration!
I can't for the world see how going to Costco could save frustration. Especially on the weekend. The place is a madhouse.

LMAO. I completely agree about hitting the Box Store on the weekend! It is an utterly nuts experience and a multi-cultural circus. After work or during the week only. Thanks for the reminder, TeriW!

Electronics retailer Radio Shack plans to close as many as 1,100 stores -- or nearly 20% of its locations.

So far from MOST. 20% is a lot but not MOST>

I've done RS shops in the past. Tedious report for little fee, and the reimbursement was $2. Can't even buy 1 pack of batteries for that!

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.

Thanks for the heads up! I just looked at my Costco purchased AAA and AA bulk packs. Both say "Best Before 2023" so I think I'm good to go!
My Costco batteries always have really, really long dates, too. And we're at Costco once a month anyway for staple items!

Sometimes the batteries even get coupons. smiling smiley
