DId anyone get a paypal Debit Card w/o asking

I recently opened 2 lines of credit one for entertainment (Conn's) and one for medical (Dentist a necessity). Now I have received a preapproval application for a gas card and an actual DEBIT card for Paypal. The Paypal card does say if you don't use it, destroy it but still. I don't like the idea of them making that decision for me. My first thought is that I am getting these offers because of the new credit and good standing I have with my credit scores. But then again, I don't want to miss anything.

So my question is "Has anyone else received the Paypal Debit card in the mail?

a friend of mine received one years ago....never asked for one.
rarely used the account. year later claim that they spent 4k. Apparently
after that card a paypal line of credit was opened also shortly after...

Usually for the debit card you have to "apply" for it because
they do a credit check to give you one...

just occasionaly check your paypal account to make sure no
funny business is going on...

I got a business Paypal card but I thought it was a debit card and not a credit card. I use a Debit Paypal card all the time with about $3000 going out of it monthly.
I've got one laying around here somewhere that they sent me without asking, but it was in connection with my opening a business Paypal account, not randomly after I did something unrelated. I find that odd.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I have a requested Business Paypal card - and enjoy the cash back option on it. However, I specifically requested it, and if I had received one in the mail without any authorization I would find that to be EXTREMELY hinky and follow through with them. I am a PayPal fan, for many years now.....but still highly prefer paper checks (old school).
