If that's the one I think it is, I don't think that it's worth it for $9.00. (It's a company that has a zillion fast food shops, right?)
Is that $9 plus a gallon or two of gas?

Everyone has to decide for themselves whether something is worth it or not. Go do one for $9 and when you're done see if you feel like you made a good decision taking it. I always try to do a singleton of any new shop before picking up multiples of them for a route. I've made a few exceptions to that but I find that's the best strategy, especially if I can do the new shop locally before I have to do it on the road.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
to be open... only take the good shops and feel good about it. If they are not paying enough, pass them by. And let them know you did it!

Don
There are a bunch here at $9.00 and you don't have to buy gas. I wait until I can get them for $25 and up...and they do pay that. smiling smiley I make the majority of my money from these. smiling smiley
If you're talking about Maritz (just say the MSC, as long as you're not saying the client) then their fees+bonus vary wildly based on the location. $9 is cheap. If they aren't getting taken they'll bonus them handsomely.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
I suspect that it's not anything Maritz, but that it's the $9.00 fee, $2.00 purchase one from a place that does a whole lot of fast food.

If that's the one, I think they're not worth doing for $9.00. I've grabbed some for $25.00, and felt very pleased.
If those are from the FF giant, I do them when they are bonused at $40. I did one once for $25, in the freezing wind and even having only 4 pumps it was barely worth it.
I have not done any for Maritz but the MF assignments are okay at $35 and up. Takes me about 30-45 minutes on-site, depending on customer traffic. (The first two took longer.) Entering the report is easy but matching the photos is time consuming.
Hold out…. the $9 will become $18 within a few weeks, according to the usual pattern. $25 is not unusual. I picked 10, $25 shops last month to do in a route within one city. I've done rural "orphans" for much more than that.

I'm jealous of you. I'd love that many at that price! I'd have an incentive to organize a cheat sheet for that ridiculously unorganized report.

Nope, not worth it at all.
The job itself takes an hour, printing and reading the paperwork takes 20 minutes( plus the printing costs $$), and then sorting and uploading photos, inputting the report.....no way!

I won't touch these for less than $20, as all told it can take 2 hours.
Just finished one for a bonus. I would not touch these shops for $9. It is a purchase and reveal and takes a long time, especially if the station is not up to standard. My starting pay for those jobs is $25 - and I learned that from very hard experience.
Absolutely under no circumstances. I have only done one ever and I would not even consider doing another for less than $50, which is highly unlikely to be offered. Way easier, quicker shops than this for more money and no photos.
Are they worth it? Sure for $25 and up. They take time to perform on-site, sort out the photos for submission and don't forget the hidden cost of being taken out of the rotation for six months for the un-revealed shops at that location (if that matters to you).

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
reimbursement I think said one dollar to prove you were there.

gum, soda, candy is more than that.

thx for your opinions
i think I know the company you speak of, and the manual is 40 pages plus and other stipilations that come along with the shop. I did notice that if you wait until the end of the quarter, the shop almost triples, and no one in my area jumped on them until they did. I was new at the time and did grab up a couple when they went to 12, but defientley will wait until they go up in pay. They also are picky with the angle of the photos, I caution a head of time, Fortunately, I had snapped a bunch of photos so did not have a problem, however had I not gotten the correct angle in a couple I would have been back in the car for another 100 mile drive.
sounds like you and I might be the 2 doing them for west texas lol. Learned the last time around to wait on those double digits, then when the shop went up someone picked up about 3 ....hmmm...
Will they let you go back and take a photo later? I thought I was probably out the fee if anything was not perfect with the pictures.
in that case, yes, the email from the MSC said either post one if I had one, or go back to the location and take another one. I am still fairly new so do not know how other MSC would work.

Wait until they bonus them, then make a route. Once you do your first 2-3 shops and learn the requirements, the audits wouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
I would add, print out the photo checklist and check off each photo as you take it. I did one of those audits early in my career and missed a photo. I ended up driving the 250 mile round trip to get the picture.

I have 2 companies offering revealed audits at gas stations. One is 11+ photos for $25 and the other is no photos for $16. I'm trying to decide if this is something that is going to take me 2 hours on site or are they easy enough to do and worth the fee? The $25 ones I could do a route shop, probably have 10 or so within 50 miles of me. Any suggestions? I'll probably do one for each company but mainly trying to figure out when so it works in my schedule.
The photo ones are fairly quick once you have done a few. The first couple take a long time, but then once you know what you are looking for I can do most of the audits in 20-30 minutes. Limited narrative since you have the pictures.
When I was a newbie, I took it for $6 bucks!

In pouring rain, with an umbrella that did not work so well, along with my camera getting wet....

Needless to say, I was hesitant to do more. But I like the picture taking aspect and ended up doing another one, for better moneysmiling smiley
I did the photo audit today. It wasn't too bad. It took me an hour to do the audit and an hour to do the report. I think with more practice I could get the total time down to close to an hour or so. I ended up taking 50 photos just to make sure I had enough and they were good. Probably overkill but I didn't want to go back.
I take a lot of pics too. They are handy when you forgot something and you could always check the pictures. You'll get faster. I was a turtle in the beginning and now, I'm very organized and can get it done much faster now. smiling smiley You will too!
