I glance at it now and then, but, in my very short time doing this, (about five months), I've never found any useful information there--however I've found plenty on the rest of the forum!

Pete, if there was an area for regional requests, I'd be interested. If a job is posted with "Canada" in the title, I'd be more apt to look. However, 98% of what I have seen is USA, so I don't look.

Hahahaaha! The shops I once scheduled were the type I could see some bad comments coming from, but the ones I do now pay a little better and are actually needed.
No jobs are ever posted for my neck of the woods in the PNW!
I've never picked up a shop off of it, but I've certainly picked up information on MSC's that was helpful in other ways. I read it every day that I'm on the board.

If that board was by state or region it would be way more useful. I look at it, do ctrl-F for my state on the job titles, & if nothing comes up I leave.
So for any schedulers reading this, remember to list the states. I just don't have time to read all those posts just to see that there is nothing near me.

I check the board almost daily. I'm a pretty new shopper (6 months) so I have found several great shops from the board. I also check for companies that have shops near my area and sign up to see if there is anything available.

I signed up with a couple new companies because I saw which shops they had on the board.
I do not check it as I have a list of companies that I work with already. Heck, I learned from your post that the board exists.

I quit looking when schedulers started making separate posts for the same job in different locations. Nothing more annoying than having to dig through 30 posts of the same project just to see there is nothing in my area. Sometimes I do a quick scan for the two states I work in, but beyond that, it's more of a hassle than anything. I get more leads off of jobslinger. At least there I can limit the listings to my area.

greeedeer, the forum thread does not list jobs by state. We can add that to our "wishful thinking list".
