How long do schedulers take?

I signed up with a bunch of new companies and applied for a couple assignments. There is one I'd really like to do, signed up on Monday but it is still sitting there as pending. Should I email the scheduler? I don't want to be a PITA, but I'd really like to know whether I'll be chosen as it is multiple phone shops.

The title question is not a question that can be definitively answered. Some schedulers are very quick to get shops assigned and some sit on them for a long time (philosophically I think some of them like having 'available opportunities' on their job boards). Then there are those who assign the job and leave everyone else as 'pending' just as their security blanket in case the one the assigned the work to cancels or flakes so they have somebody else to slap the job onto without needing to pay a bonus. You contact the scheduler at your own peril. Some of them appreciate the contact and some of them get really snotty about it.
It really depends on the MSC, scheduler and project... That is why I prefer the MSC that allows you to self-assign... If you are waiting for the phone shops that requires you to clear out your schedule for 2 days, the shops can sit on your app board, past the due date and still not get the approval. That has happened to me...
Thanks, kind of what I thought, but good to get confirmed. These phone shops are for high end restaurant catering, I didn't see anything about clearing out my schedule for 2 days.
From reading this board I got the idea of contacting the scheduler about a job I particularly wanted. I wrote and said I was an experienced and reliable shopper. I was assigned the shop immediately. Unfortunately I flaked on it.

Just kidding.
