Haha. That tells you how often I can afford to eat out anywhere that has steak!

Opps this was meant to quote someone.

I did one with the Cucina Mia but my notes say from 6:00 PM so don't know how you can arrive before and place your order in time to get the discounted prices. Also a specific menu is no longer suposed to be available after 6 PM. My dinner shops are $50 and the lunch $40. Can't imagine doing the report and photos for a Meatball sandwich and unlimited soup and salad..... during lunch.
Can someone answer this much? I checked the company that also has Capital Grill and Yard House. I checked major cities nationwide and could not find a single Olive Garden. Am I looking in the right place and they are just all gone or do I need to keep searching for another MSC?

If there is one out there, could someone post the zip code so at least I know to give up for now but check back frequently. Otherwise, my mission is to find the MSC!!!!
Marg, There are a lot of MSC's that have fitness shops. I think I know who it is based upon the clues given here but am still trying to get my score up so that I see them to confirm. I look it at a game or challenge for myself.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
I don't like the red sauce at Olive Garden. Their soup and salad deal is good. I'm very fussy about my Italian food, and OG just doesn't do it for me. I had an Italian roommate in college who cooked her grandmother's receipts for us. That food was so amazing, it has spoiled me for Italian food ever since.

I think you probably could... just barely... not sure if tip would fit in there... they *do* have some entrees on special ~ do they let you get the specials?

A lot of restaurants have their menus ~ including prices ~ online... others just have the menu but without prices... you could at least check and see.

I eat there quite frequently and it is completely possible. Most entrees are between $12-18, appetizers are I think $3-10. Sodas are around $2 I think. My husband and I usually leave there with a bill around $40.

And these shops only are assigned to established shoppers with their msc???

That being said, should I now start taking their Dallas BBQ shops just to get my
foot in the door so to speak???

Happy Mom's Day to all.
I just accepted the OG shop. There is no way that you can stay under the $50

Requirements are

"new small plate appitizer" $6.00
"Center Cut Filet" $19.00
"another entree from the new menu" $16.00
"two beverages other than water" $5.00

Sub Total $46
Tax $4

$50 total plus 15% tip

$57.50

For me I took the shop as this time of year I just MS for entertainment and we have not been to OG in over 10 years.
I think we also have to tip 18% for this shop. Considering the amount of narratives for this MSC, I am leaning against not taking the shop. It is a shame if I have to go over or order the least expensive items and then write for more than an hour... Please let us know how it goes!!
I did it with the version that does not require the Center Cut Filet and we came out to $50 and change so the visit cost me under a dollar plus driving plus writing the report plus dealing with photos. I won't bother again.
Flash, I am assuming the narrative portion is the same as the other higher end restaurants for this MSC. Is that right?
Correct. And of course this one has photos which not many of the ones I do for them have.
To me, that would be worth it--to eat at OG for free-or-close-to-it, I mean. But, I also love OG. (I grew up in a town where "fine dining" constituted one of three restaurants and OG was considered a perfectly decent place for a business lunch.) It depends on whether you like their food, I suppose.
I hate counting pennies on a shop and looking for the least expensive items on the menu. this company almost never pay fee for dining shops. There should be at least $10 to cover gas, parking and 1-2 hours of report writing time. "Free meal" is not actually free.
I'm so done with food shops. The last one I took, the scheduler begged me to take and bonused it for me. The allotment was more than enough to treat my daughter and I to a nice night out.

What they forgot to mention is that it was going to cost me $25 to park.

So done with it!!!

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
It's not really about Olive Garden. It's the fact that it will take me at least an hour (more like two hours) to write the report. While I can get a great meal with Coyle w/ budget surpassing $100, taking one with a $50 budget with the same amount of narrative does not make sense to me. If they increase the budget to at least $75 to allow me to order more expensive items on the menu, I would consider taking the shop. For now, I will sit out.
I did it twice and you can stay under $50. The report isn't that difficult. I could not take any this month because I will be out of town, otherwise, I would.

Is the narrative more for OG than other shops for this MSC.

I have done 6 or so dinner shops for them and didn't think the narrative was too much.

I have never done a Coyle shop.

No, it's about the same amount of narrative. That is what I like about this msc. There's no redundancy in their report. It's simple play-by-play. You have to take pictures at the table, but I use my iPhone, so it was not too obvious.

I am pretty sure the guidelines says no
I do not have a good feel for restaurant shops. Some I enjoy and after others I vow never again. Usually after I come home I regret my decision to do the shop and resent having to fill out the report. If only I could do it before going.

There have been some quite expensive fancy ones listed in the big city near me recently. Those seem like they might be worth it b/c I can't imagine the report could be very different than others I've done. But I always have a nagging fear that my shop will be rejected.

On the bright side tomorrow I am doing a yummy bun shop at a ff restaurant near me that I think pays pretty well.
