Does anyone know how to start in the Merchandising field? I have applied to several companies with no reply. Everyone wants experience, but I can't get the experience if no one will train me! Thanks
Try signing up with NARMS.com or flexhire.com, they are recruiting sites mostly for merchandising. I work for a company called Mosaic and they are constantly working on new program contracts so they recruit year round.
I just want to thank you for giving that information out with out being sarcastic about it. True we should work and find our way but some of these people that find it difficult to help another shopper along the way their day is coming. I was interested in merchandising but I love to MS and it is wonderful I heard some shoppers say that they really like merchandising I don't know if it entails as much as MS does or not but at least you are doing something you like to do. Follow your heart although MS is wonderful to me it takes getting use to it but is is indeed a joy.
If you live in an area where Rite Aid has purchased a local drug chain, they are current doing re-sets in all the stores. The pay is $15/hr. and they are currently scheduling through January!
Certified is a great company to work for. I had no experience in Merchandising when I started with them. Now I am a pro! They have lots of jobs all the time and they pay on time. Good luck!
