Repo Lot Audit

Has anyone done a repo lot audit? I am doing one next week. I am to use an app to take pictures. I haven't done the training yet, but got kinda concerned when I went to make the appointment and the lot is only open one hour a day Tues-Thurs. The pay is good, but wondering what I've got myself into??

I have. It was not bad. Just a bit more detailed vs a business eval...

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Yes. It's on my one-and-done list, although this might be for a different MSC because I sure as heck don't remember any special training. I do distinctly remember how long it took to walk the perimeter fencing, taking pics of any/all gaps........forever!

Hopefully, the MSC is paying you fairly. Mine added an additional $10.00 for a total of $27.00.

Good luck!

Sounds like the Mattress shops.

I have shopped so many Mattress places and know they are not for that establishment because some have one employee. (The owner)

How sneaky they are to get us the shoppers to do their price and product surveys for them.

Is there really a shop out there that is worth the money offered? I have yet to find one!!

The secret to making any funds is to do your homework about the shop requirements, location, scheduling multiple shops in same area and day and a really good tax accountant.
I do these all the time. One of my favorite types of shops. The one word of warning I can give is to bring mud shoes/boots just in case the lot is muddy. I do several of these each month and have found that asking for additional pay up front has worked well.
That sounds pretty cool. Is a repo lot similar to a junk yard? At first, I thought it was a "lot" (pallet) of items to buy. smiling smiley
Repo=repossession. You're looking at a place that picks up cars from people who can't make the payments on them.

Have PV-500 & willing to travel.

Picture an unpaved, muddy, weed-overgrown, irregularly contoured, 2-3 acre lot with a gazillion vehicles. I did think this is "pretty cool", but that was before I scoped out the perimeter fence and before the lot attendant explained how abused and, now worthless, most of the vehicles were.

I got lucky with the one I did. It was fairly small, but irregular, so walking the perimeter was no problem. The garage was clean as a whistle and the lockup, office and security were also very well kept and organized. I did let the MSC know that the regular fee was to low for the amount of questions and pictures required. I was not able to see the form or requirements until after I was assigned. I just figured it was similar to the hundreds of other business verification's I'd done. In their 'for our eyes only' box I stated such and that had I know I would have not taken it at the initial price. They added extra $$, which I appreciated.
I just need to know how I upload pictures when they request them. No I not done a repo audit yet it sounds like it take a little longer to do that type of report
