Yes, only because the editor blatantly did not know the difference between writing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person. I was told to use 3rd person (I did) and explained I did and gave a definition with examples. I was polite about it, but made sure they knew I was a former English teacher (to justify that I knew what I was talking about).
I corrected one and ended up with a 10 b/c of it I think.. I had to add more to the paragraphing and I was so shocked smiling smiley
How do you know what the editors changed or corrected? I had one editor get back to me wanting me to "apply what the salesperson said to my purchase" but the question specifically said that they want statement of what the salesperson said...and gave examples of what type of answer they wanted and said it was not to be a long answer...basically they were asking you to report "The lawn mower is 20% off this week" but the editor wanted "The lawn mower is 20% off this week so that brings the purchase price down $40. The lower price influenced my willingness to purchase this item compared to the other lawn mower." Ugggg!!! Then marked me down because I did not give a complete answer....how are you supposed to know they want that if they ask for something else!!!

It would also be nice if the editors told you what your mistakes were so you could pay more attention. I proof everything via Word so I know there are no spelling mistakes, plus my browser checks for spelling, yet I was just told I had a spelling mistake and was downgraded one point as a result. Please give me that information so I can correct it for the future!!
