Most disliked shops and why

What is your most disliked shop and why?

I'll start but first it can be any disliked shop want to get the thread moving

TGI Fridays
It takes to long for the report. The report is to detailed. I don't enjoy my meal because of the requirements. It could be considered three shops in one. There is no pay just reimbursement unless it gets a bonus. Almost impossible to meet order requirements and stay under max reimbursement.

Now its your turn

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Any shop where the reimbursement doesn't cover the cost, and shops with reports that ask for narratives on the same information you already wrote about in a previous narrative. Of course, you are guaranteed to get an editor telling you some of your comments are in the wrong places!
Walgreens interact with 3 people scenario. I don't mind the Out of stock scenario where there is just one interaction. They shops pay the same. I only do the Out of Stock scenario.
My least favorite shop is an apartment shop. I have completed apartment shops for only one company. The shop itself wasn't too bad, if you don't count three days to get the target agent. The report however was pages, and pages, of narrative. MSC has four letters. Did two of these ... no more.
The pretend to purchase a certain amount to see if they offer a credit card. Followed closely by any car dealership new car shop.
My least favorite shops have been those where I completely and correctly presented my work product, the MSC was paid by the client, the MSC then "went out of business", and I was never paid for my work.

But that probably isn't the answer you are looking for. If I don't like a shop, I just don't do it again, so I don't have a chance to build up too much dislike.

Except for that one...

5 Guys. I know it's bad for me, but they keep offering more and more coin for 10 minutes work. And I have to eat any way. Right? Maybe I just won't eat it all, I say to myself. But once I touch a fry, it's all over. I crumble like a drunken cheerleader and I am consumed in an orgy of vinegar flavored crack.

"The fries were shaken 15 times. They were served hot and fresh and I hate my self."

My Whole Foods company just got a huge new client, and I did 3 with another one today....7 evaluations, much larger store and same pay as WF. I shop there anyway, so, I'm caught...free food and stress, or pay and stress., free food, thanks.

Live consciously....
I agree with Friday's, the report is very long. Both times I've done it I've gotten deducted for not going into enough detail even though I normally get praised for my attention to detail from other shops.

Newbie with lots of questions!
Casino shops! UGH!!! I was recruited to do one. Got a great shop price and extra for travel. Rules state NO Gambling, NO drinks while doing the shop. Mine was a 3 level river boat casino during the day hours. What is a woman doing walking around a casino all day without gambling, or drinking? Cameras galore all over the place. Talk about feeling conspicuous. I spent all day, and it was a bust. Finally left without completing a few of the portions and figured "f-it." Waste of time and gas. Never mind not getting paid. Word of advice, don't do one of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I no longer see the MSC in our area. Think the word got out.
That's sure different. Most casinos require drinking and gambling. You're right, who doesn't do at least one or the other?

What were you supposed to evaluate in that casino where no gambling or drinking was allowed?
Any purchase and return shop. Any FF shop. I don't like to return things (unless defective) in real life and I don't particularly like FF. I love bank shops, but that question wasn't asked.
I don't like Gas station shops, hate them because they want you to check the bathrooms, and I had a bad experience with a drug buy at a gas shop and some photos. I'm traumatized lol!

I had to do an audit for an electronics store. It sounded simple enough but...OH NO. I had to scramble to find certain items. Employees kept giving me the side eye and following me around. (It was a revealed shop but it still got on my nerves)
But the worst was the report. Detail about everything, a million photos to upload, just GAH. The guidelines said I'd need an hour and a half to do the shop and another hour to enter the report. I managed to do the shop in an hour but the report took 3 hours. Add in travel time during Main Line rush hour and that was a 5 hour shop. 2 months later I got an email from the scheduler asking me to do it again. I told her only if she paid me triple the amount offered because it takes twice as long to do as they claim it does. She never responded. ;-0

Close second was a NARS shop that had to be done at the NARS counter in a Saks Fifth Ave. The rep I evaluated was great, it was all her makeup department cronies that were horrible. They completly ignored me when I got there. I'd make eye contact and start to approach them and they'd actually turn their backs on me. I finally walked up to one woman who was helping two other customers and when they finished, they turned to me and said "your turn!" So the b**** had to help me. The majority of my shops are high end luxury retail, and no one in any store of a similiar or higher caliber than Saks ever treated me this way, or anyone else for that matter. It made me wish I had been shopping Saks instead of NARS.
And thank you to the OP for the info about the TGI Friday's shops. I had been considering taking one once its bonused high enough, but after hearing what it's like to do the shop and report I'll pass.
I did a report for a healthy type FF restaurant in the mall. There were 127 questions broken down into five sections. Each question required minimum one sentence. At the end of each section, there's a required play by play narrative section answering all yes and no's from the above questions. At the very end of the report, there were three sections asking for my opinion on food, customer service and cleanliness. No fee and $10 reimbursement which did not cover a chicken burger, air fries and a drink, with tax. It took me 2 hours to write that FF report. The food wasn't that good. I really wanted to flake on the report, but didn't. I did not deactivate myself from that msc, but I also do not check for jobs.

For the NARS shops, they've changed the guidelines now so you're supposed to make an appointment.

I've shopped Saks for a different MSC at a NARS counter, and NARS at Saks for the MSC you're talking about. I've had all good experiences there but it can get very busy between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. during the work week. The weekends and Fridays are a lot less crowded. I have had to wait awhile before there too and it's such a small area. This was last year, when you had to take who was available, and ask if they worked for NARS. I think the MSC had so many freelancers that were evaluated they couldn't get paid for the shops by the client. Hence the new guidelines to make appointments with genuine NARS employees. This ought to reduce the problems you had, should you decide to do another one of these shops, since someone will be expecting you.

I'm gonna have to disagree, at least on the drinking part.

Well, when I was a casino hooker, I made it a point to avoid drinking.

I didn't. It was the only way to make it through the night.

Maybe we need a thread about former jobs. I am willing to bet nobody guessed we had not one, but two former male hooers. Since you were independent contractors, is performing a casino evaluation exempt from the whole conflict of interest thing?

BTW, the spelling was my attempt to mimick a friend from upstate New York. Once on the phone he had to give up and spell the word because I had no clue what he was saying. And we gripe about furriners. SMH.

What am I missing? Or will that be TMI about both of you?

Perhaps I was a female hooker.
