I just did a 180 mile RT for $20 - partly for pleasure, partly for business, and it took me to a very beautiful area I had never seen before. I also picked up some nearby shops 'quickies' to make it even more worth my while.
So, I guess my answer would be yes - given I might want to go to that area!
