Do You Post on Volition.com?

Wondering as I find this board to be much more active and interactive.

Nope, only been there a few times when I was looking for specific information. I'm not even sure I have an account.

I have rarely gone in there in the last 3 years...but I did scope out opinions on merch companies... then I left! smiling smiley
I prefer the light moderation here which results in much more freedom of expression and all the silly fun.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Yeah, it's serious in there like a Funeral Home smiling smiley
I'm on permanent "approval of moderator required" for each post over there, so I can't really participate in discussions.
I wonder if I am. I already knew the last email from the mod was going to be a scolding at best and never bothered to read it. I've been kicked out of better places.

No. Do you?

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I went over there once and didn't like it so I just stay here.

I don't even look for other places anymore.

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
I haven't even heard Volition mentioned in years. Didn't even know it was still around.
I started over there when it was still alive. I check back occasionally to see what my old friends are up to (all 2 of them now that Lisa's been banned winking smiley ).

I was constantly told to "not use double quotes" but I never did find out what that meant!

I quit posting over there when my topics did not meet the overlord's requirements. I prefer the feedback and the wide variety of views on topics available at this forum.
No, I check over there about a company once in a while, but usually the information I do find is from years ago.
I started out there and learned a great deal, but the many rules and scoldings outweighed the knowledge that I obtained. Sometimes I could log in, sometimes I could not. I check in from time-to-time to learn some. There is an undeniable hierarchy of shoppers and companies there.
I started out there and was very active when most of the video shoppers were hanging out there. I still monitor the video threads there and reply to posts on those. I do prefer Jacob's style of moderation and now consider this my home.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
That petty tyrant Ray drove me away within a matter of days. So, no.

Before I found this forum I registered several times at Volition. Each time, I was denied. I asked Ray why via email. He either never received my info, said I had 2 IP addresses (well, yes I do as I have a desktop and a laptop) and then just flat out told me to try harder. OK. Bye.
Ray's a pompous a$$ who is on some bizarre power-trip. So no, I don't go to Volition.
I found that the discussions are highly edited so you cannot get accurate information. If someone has a beef with a company, a genuine beef, other shoppers might want to know about it. Likewise if a shopper has a great experience with a given company and wants to share. The owner has certain companies that he does not want to see portrayed negatively, even if the facts support it, and certain companies that he does not want to see promoted.
Same here, I used to go there. In fact I am pretty sure that is how I found out about this board so I guess it was a good thing.

I feel the same way as the other posters, it is a weird and over regulated place that just wasn't worth visiting any longer.

Plus it did seem stale. I would log in once a day and sometimes there were no new posts on MS subjects. Really ??
Maybe Ray is the brother of Dave.

I do not find their site as user friendly as this one. I have been on that site maybe 3 times and never really learned anything more than I have at this forum.
I still check in when I need to do some research and compare that to what I learn here, but not much goes on there. When I first signed up, I'd get at least 40 e-mails a day saying that someone had posted! Now I might get 10 a week and that's maybe.

You may have read that a certain forum owner who shall remain nameless *cough, Ray Sola, cough* doesn't want us to mention it here. Too bad, so sad.

Volition, Volition, Volition, Volition, Volition

Volition is a general word in the dictionary and last I knew volition
was a video game company that's been around for 20 years.

Encore: Volition, Volition, Volition, Volition, Volition
