It is taking me forever to find something p/t permanent with weekly work and maybe bi-weekly pay.
I used to work for (I think it was called T11) back then and it was fantastic!
I had a route, I had a specific time to get the work done and I got paid, no questions asked.
I audited coffee machines and gave out promotional packages. It was so much fun.
I still have nightmares about this assignment - it was six months.
I worked for a company that promoted Amex small business Saturday.
It was a cool gig but way too much work....
I had to have material delivered to my home, put together folders, with the inserts that they sent.
Mind you - it was 4 different types of folder with 4 different types of inserts for ea. It took me forever and 2 days to prepare these folders. My garage was full of boxes...
I had to Complete a 5 page data sheet on ea location.
Then go to the location, provide them with detail information regarding the
small business promo, give them the folder with information...many customers had been hostile because the felt they are over charged for utilizing the companies services...so I had ppl PO at me and I hadn't done anything and I had to try and smooth over the situation. **I even had this one customer - she thought that I was a con artist trying to scam her, huh?
Then I had to go home, complete the paper report then upload to the system..
Let's see, I had over 1,000 locations in or around my area...
Would I do it again, nope!
If I had a mini team, to help me prepare the folders it probably would have been great, however, it was only me and it was a lot of work.
The reps had been really nice, pay was on time but it was crazy!
To tell the truth, I am a little afraid to sign up for merchandising jobs - you never know what you will get yourself into.
"When you learn, teach. When you get, give," is one of the best lessons..
