Yes, I am a Mystery Shopper B!tch

Very recently I did a shop where I am supposed to ask for a gift list. I've done them before without incident.
This time, however, when I requested it and gave the name, the salesperson said:

"You're the effing mystery shopper @#$%&, aren't you?"

I was so surprised that I just took the sheet walked around in the store in a daze and then left. Not too often do I get taken by surprise like that that I am speechless.

Needless to say, my report was exuding platitudes for the salespeople there.

I wonder if that gift list has become a tip-off.

I'm confused.
Say this gift list is a dead giveaway. You are basically told "This is the mystery shopper, dance monkey" Why would one choose this route instead of putting on a flawless performance? Stupid people are so stupid.
customers dont ask for gift lists?

Will someone tell me what a gift list is? Are you asking for gift suggestions? Are you asking for a specific person's list of what they want, like a bridal registry?
The OP is talking about the bridal registry.

QUIETTIME is asking for the name of the company on another post..... not too complicated to follow that folks. Or is it
bgriffin?????
I see after looking through her posts I see that she hinted at wanting to know a company name for Texas Roadhouse, I didn't see anything in her post on this thread, which is the one you replied to, indicating she wanted to know the company for this client. And considering the client has not been mentioned, it would not be an ICA violation to tell her.

I hope your report was excluding rather than exuding platitudes.

Didn't someone once post here about the "Baby Registry" at the "Famous Baby Store" and that poster was in her 50's and wondered if she would be taken seriously, as being pregnant and 50ish? smiling smiley

That's why I don't take the "Baby Store"...

Speaking of ICA violations, have you ever been private messaged with a newer poster wanting to the know client/or MSC for a certain assignment? I always politely tell them I can't give that information. tongue sticking out smiley
I don't reply

It makes you wonder if they PM "everyone"... in hopes "someone" will give them the information they want...
I don't see that Quiettime asked for a company name in this thread. Sorry I didn't meet your standards by researching this thoroughly to find out if Quiettime asked for a company name any time in history. HAHAHA. That's a more antiquated version of LOL. Or ROFLMAO. If I run across that other thread accidently I'll know about it but I won't be searching it out to find out what you mean. Again, Huh?

Ah, never mind. I don't have the energy to call anyone out today...

I once had to do the baby store right after I was elsewhere pretending to be a biker chick. There I go waddling into the baby store looking like a pregnant over-40 biker chick and having to be congratulated by all the staff people I meet.

Too complicated for my little head. I guess you are bringing an argument over from another thread in case some of us missed it? Lord knows we all need more drama in our lives. It's gettin' real at the Mystery Shop Forum.
Ok what part of this is complicated bgriffin? Who shops Texas Roadhouse? How can that NOT be a violation to say
XYZ shops them? The client WAS mentioned..... hence the words TEXAS ROADHOUSE.

Ok, since obviously you wanna be bitchy about, I'll play this game. She did not ask in the Texas Roadhouse thread who shopped Texas Roadhouse. She hinted that she would like someone to PM her but she did not say "who shops Texas Roadhouse." Just for your reference, here is the fully quoted post from the Texas Roadhouse thread:

She did not say, someone send me a PM, she said she was hoping a kind soul would send her a PM. I hope a kind soul would give me a million dollars too but that doesn't mean I'm asking them too. Or is all of that too complicated for you CANADAMOMMY?

I would've gone the "I don't know what a mystery shopper is, but I do know people who call customers '@#$%&' get fired" route. I'm mean. You call me names, I scare the bejeezus out of you.
