New car shops

I got an assignment Bestmark. After reading all the many pages of paper work I just can't see how this shop is worth doing. Would love to hear from experienced shopper's on this one.

Best Mark was my first. I did many car dealerships for the fee but I won't do them anymore because I am not making any money. I had to travel too far.
I don't have to travel far and it is through Bestmark. But the paper work seems crazy!
I only do the $75 car dealership shopssmiling smiley You have to do on-call training live though, before you can do the shop...
The Bestmark auto shops aren't that bad. There is some narrative but the shop itself only takes 15 minutes or so if you don't do a test drive. Sometimes I do the test drive because I want to drive the car though...sports cars usually. They pay quickly so that is nice too. If the shop is close they are good filler shops.
I ran out of local dealers with Bestmark. They say you can go back after, I think, 6 months but if you do a test drive the dealer keeps you in the database. So you show up again and the salesman wants to know if you're still interested in that SUV. I liked testing the cars, even for low pay, but that phase of shopping is done for me.

No fee, no shop.
This is too funny! Bestmark was my very first mystery shop company. I did a few of these shops for them and then worried it was just too much work. I haven't shopped with them again for years because their fee is so not worth it....to me!

Jumping jelly fish I'm a video shopper!

Whenever a test drive is an option, I opt out. I would rather have the extra income later on than spend 20 minutes driving a car when I just drove one to get there. Plus the pay is not enough to take 45 minutes or longer. Without a test drive the shops are 15 to 20 at most. And they will bonus hard to fill shops.

Smart, LisaSTL, but I admit to getting a kick out of driving the new models. There are many forms of compensation.

No fee, no shop.
I do most of my work in the automotive sector, everything from Ferrari to Fiat and Wraith to Wrangler. By now I have completed over 600 automobile sales shops alone for several companies including many for BestMark. If you add service visits and audits it is higher. (The foreign luxury cars) pay well but they don't come around as often as a (traditional American) Chevrolet or Ford dealerships and they aren't in almost every town.

If you work hard for BestMark, establishing yourself as reliable and consistent, they will prove to be a very worthwhile company. They make up in volume what they lack in pay; moreover, they are flexible when it comes to scheduling and reporting.

Mod note: Names of specific car makes/models were removed as it appeared implicit that they were shopped by BestMark. This would have constituted a Forum rules violation and probably a breach of your ICA agreement as well

No, I don't want a free meal. I do this because I want to make money.
I did one of these. The shop was easy. The paper work is crazy. Definitely not worth the money.
Car dealerships take me 90 minutes between shop and report including test drive. I get minimum of 40. They are all non video.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
