Annoying Editors

There is this certain MSC who shops apartments. They have the most annoying editors who nag you about the shop but then the shop sits there unaccepted. Does anyone else experience this?

It would be nice if you had the courage to name and shame.

I'm about to grab my first apartment shop from a MSC that does nothing but these types of shops.

Seeing as you can only shop a complex once in your life, I can see where you'll quicly shop yourself out of local work in no time at all. I was thinking to wait for the better paying shops with a targeted employee, or a bonused shop rather than waste my only shopping of that complex on the base shop pay. The company I'm thinking about working for had a pre-visit shop call and then three post shop events to wait for and report on.
Once in your life? That may be true for new home video shops. Most apartments shops can be reshopped at some point, anywhere from 12 to 24 months depending on the client. The nice thing about apartments is they have leases that expire so it is realistic to be shopping around a year or two later. Same with new cars. We don't keep them forever.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Nope, I have never experienced a sudden bout of vagueness.

Might want to have that looked at by someone.... could be something.

Oh no, it's contagious.

I just took this MSC "quiz" and thier stance is that they cannot be reshopped for 999 days as they state that your drivers license will be entered into the apartment managment system and it will reamain on file forever.

What you say is very true. When I was in an apartment and I got my renewal notice and they'd bump the rent on me every year, I'd shop the same 4-5 apartments in the area to make sure that this was the going rate. Then, I'd break down and go to the leasing office to resign to live in the same place another year with that yappy dog on one side of me and the kid who likes to practice skateboarding in the kitchen above me at 2:00 AM.

I had on more than one occasion got the new pricing from the same leasing agent that I spoke with the year before. I was remembered, and they could see I visited then within a few weeks of the same date one year prior. Unless they refreshed the units, I didn't take a tour of a unit. I just got right down to square feet and what is your price this year. Can you price your unit cheap enough to give me an incentive to move?

Which MSC? I've apartment shopped for at least five or six companies and never seen 999 days. Woman do have an advantage because we can give them names that don't match our DLs.

Ellis
I didn't realize that EPMS had such a long rotation. Is it true?

*edit* I just checked and I think the rotation is 18-24 months.

I've shopped Ellis for years and never come across the 999 thing. I've also re-shopped locations. Perhaps this is something new.
Every shopper deserves to do one EPMS survey. Last through the survey, you'll last through most anything you'll encounter while shopping.

I'll take your word for it. I've been signed up for EPMS for a while, but haven't found a good time to fit them in into my schedule, due to my full-time job. I wonder if they have shops where I can perform on a Saturday or Sunday?

Are you saying the survey is more work than the shop fee is worth?

I was about to take my first one with audio recording as it's bonused up to $60.

Even new home communities might not be once in your life. Some communities takes 1-3 years to build out. I've been asked to go back to one because the SR I shopped had quit the builder and there is a new SR to shop.

It's been a while since I've done EPMS. They were paying $45 for a targeted shop, no audio. The audio Might have made it more easy. There are several sections, 6 or 7 sections as I recall, with each section having subsections, 4 or 5 subsections per section, with each subsection having about 5 questions, please explain. Then another subsection, 5 more questions, please explain. The shop itself is fun and not too difficult. The report is not for someone who does not enjoy writing reports more than doing the shop.
