Shop rating

I completed a shop and was given a score of 1/10 without pay. I have sent three emails to the MSC and have never received a reply. I would like to know what I did wrong so I can avoid it in the future. Any suggestions as to finding out what the situation was. Thanks.

Have you checked your Junk folder? Sometimes editor comments go to my Junk. I figure it might be because editors seem to use e-mail addresses without names and some block responses like "no-response@XXXX" or if you respond your e-mail goes to a box that nobody checks. What company is it? I don't shop for a lot of companies yet, but from reading the forum, I know a lot of the posters work for them all. And if you post the company name, one of them will post a contact name and number for the company.
@ Davico ~ Jay C is right. Please post which MSC it is but do NOT name the client's name because it is against our IC. Without giving away too many specific details, tell us a little bit about the shop. Like sunglasses, casual dining, FF (Fast Food), oil change. I'm sure that they are several experienced shoppers in this forum who probably have performed the same shop in the past and they can help determine what went wrong.

I believe some companies give you a "1" is you "flake" on them which means you never performed the shop or submitted the report. If you went to the wrong location, they might give you a "1" but I have never been in that situation so I am not positive.

I had this happen two months ago with Intellishop. I had no clue what I did. I emailed the scheduler and a supervisor responded. She said it was their mistake and it was being corrected. I received my shop fee this month but no reimbursement. So I emailed her again and she promised the reimbursement will be in next month's payment.

The 1/10 was changed to an 8/10 with no comments whatsoever. It was a really good shop that I've done many times so I have no clue what happened. I suspect the "8/10" was just payback for complaining because that seems to be how Intellishop rolls. I gave up a long time ago trying to please Intellishop reviewers as there is no pleasing some of them.
Thank You Jay C. My shop was with Intellishop and it had to do with checking truck stops.
Davico a lot of experienced shoppers won't work with intellishop for a multitude of reasons.

Quite possibly a 2 point deduction because they had to contact you (in order to fix their mistake, sigh...)

I have worked for Intellishop since 2011 but these days, I rarely work for them since I have better options. I have never done a truck stop shop so I am not familiar with the guidelines at all to figure out what you may or may not have done wrong. Maybe after the Labor Day weekend more members will be back on the forum and will be able to help you better.

Davico -
I've done a few of these, and I could imagine a legitimate 1 could be levied for wrong location, wrong time, wrong purchase, wrong staff evaluation, evaluating the wrong set of pumps, or a bunch of the smaller things together.
Davico, it is hard to get meaningful feedback from Intellishop. Intellishop editors always send an e-mail notifying you of your score and a brief (and I DO mean *brief* - and sometimes meaningless) comment on your shop). I am guessing your e-mail noted that your score was 1/1 and that you would not be paid. Does your Shop Log show any additional information? I'm betting on the wrong location. Have you double-checked the location you were assigned with the address of the one you shopped?

I work with Intellishop very little because there are a lot of better-paying companies that are easier to work with.

I would contact Sara Petersen. She often posts on our forum and has encouraged shopped to PM her or to send her an email at sara.petersen@intelli-shop.com.
Thank you AustinMom for the contact information. I will send her an email and see if I get any results.
OP:
The truck stops shops vary there are 5 types I have seen. One is early morning coffee. One is specific purchase almost all day. One is lunch time. One is sandwich shop inside truck stop. One is compare and contrast showers at two truck stops. Which one was it perhaps I can help. PM if you want.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Hi BuffaloNY101,

This was a shower shop in which I needed to pose as a driver and make a small purchase plus comment on the overall condition of the location and the showers. I confirmed that I went to the right location in the right timeframe and submitted my report in a timely manner. They show that they are going to reimburse my purchase but no pay and a low rating.

Any help would be appreciated.
I've done all five of the truck stop shops mentioned above many times for that company plus the new ones for Cinnabon with the other company. I've never seen that scendario but it really does sound like the same mistake they made with me. The only difference is they paid me the fee and not the reimbursement. Keep on contacting them until you get an answer. They won't explain what happened with me but they did change the rating and are paying for the reimbursement for me now. I'd bet you anything it is the same reviewer. That company has some of the nastiest in the business (and one scheduler who is really nasty as well).
I did one for that company where I had to call about tickets for a sports event. it was recorded and I made 5 calls. Never could reach the target and the scheduler told me to send it submit so I could get paid. I never was paid and I sent two emails to the main company with no reply. It shows it as still pending for several months.
I will just let it go and take it as a loss. But it is annoying. The other shops I have done for them have all been 8 or 9's and of course I can not remember who the scheduler was.
I am winding things down so I am "cherry picking" at this point. I received a posting for a bank assignment from Intellishop, noted that it came from a management team member and so decided to comment as to why I would no longer apply for these. I stated that the editors were overzealous (and sometimes rude) in their need to find errors that did not exist and often demanded re-statement of facts that had already been submitted in the report. The response was polite and defended the "higher standards" that the company expected. The representative also stated that while I had high scores, she would "remove me from the shopper database", at my request. The next day I parked at said bank, had my parking validated, closed my account, withdrew my money and spent it on an MS restaurant assignment next door.......parking courtesy of the bank.
I just got a 9 back on the one I did last week. I did not buy one of the required purchases so i got a 9. One of the allowable required purchases was a king size candy bar. Oh I bought king size hershey drops. Since it was not in the shape of a bar I guess they dinged me. i will get paid on a nine so won't even fight it. As far as the OP. I have no idea since I have never seen a review shower at only one center no compare and contrast. Good luck.
